I mean i'm no expert or anything, we have only been blw for a month now with dd & its been fine. How can she comment when she's never done it herself?

Hmm, surely it wouldn't be anything to do with the books & products she sells for purees would it???

i can't, really, but a quick flick through PP will see that there is a lot of ad revenue to be made out of AK and her many products and phuck all out of BLW... so do the maths.

Lynette. Precisely.

Flamey. Exaculty.

Aitch, you're turing into a Dangler

Aitch I think you are being defeatist about the marketing potential of BLW. I am seeing a line in branded polythene sheeting for the home/child/cat and maybe some kind of coverall macintosh type thing for the mother (I realise this may be more to do with my DS than BLW per se, but you've got to take all the opportunities you can).

Also perhaps you could come up with some kind of a logo - something like the no-smoking one only with a spoon in place of the cig, for use on bibs and flannels and the like. And maybe a funky slogan along the lines of "don't give me puree because I'll throw it right back aitch-ya".

[stop please. Ed.]

yes, stop it Edward.

i just can't believe her food range is called Eat Fussy. i mean i can understand why, and it's all 'we should be fussy about what we give our kids' etc, but still... eat fussy?!

Am I only the one who thinks AK is coming across as a bit dim, in the R4 interview?

How did Gill Rapley NOT snigger when AK siad that about the Lychee stones?

TheYoungVisiter · 08/01/2008 22:26

I am listening now and LOVING Gill Rapley. She sounds so wise and trustworthy. I'd probably believe her if she told me DS would like a dry martini.

TheYoungVisiter · 08/01/2008 22:27

ha ha ha just got to the lychee stones!! Gill Rapley kept a very straight face... (or voice).

Hmm.. not sure DS has ever 'learnt' to chew judging by what comes out the rear end sometimes {grin}

maybe there's something in what AK has to say !

Report
Tommy · 08/01/2008 22:45

did she really say "chewing has to be learnt"?

someone sneaked in and taught all my DSs to chew when I wasn't looking - who was that? 'fess up!

Thanks for all your comments.

After reading your posts & listening to annabel karmel & gill rapley i'm afraid i'm gonna have to put dd on purees straight away, i obviously haven't thought this through properly, i hadn't even considered that lychees would be a problem. Although i have already been giving dd her martini without an olive just to be on the safe side.

Ok so now i need some of your top tips on preparing & pureeing lychees...
