He wont go near plastic, but im worried that metal ones could be a bit too harsh particularly because he has some teeth coming through?

what did you all use?

Hunker

Show me your scan photos..................please.

24 carat gold set with diamonds should do the trick. Or titanium spoon for durability.

Oh goody, an actual weaning spoon thread! I've often heard about them but never seen one in real life.

starlover · 16/01/2006 23:12

i like superdrug ones

in all seriousness i do like the tommee tippee ones, but they're plastic
metal i am sure is fine!

Blu · 16/01/2006 23:12

I used a stainless steel teaspoon as I didn't realise that anything else existed. But people used to look at me as if I was cruel.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/01/2006 23:12

The scan photos will show you what we've suspected all along - she's not pg, she has been eating too many loaves

Sorry, i am indeed hunker baiting

harpsichordcarrier · 16/01/2006 23:13

why would a metal spoon be bad??

Blu · 16/01/2006 23:13

Plastic spoons are so thick! How does the poor babe get it between it's lips? No wonder there is such a mess.

hunkermunker · 16/01/2006 23:14

Not Superdrug spoons, they say from 3 months [appalled] [gobsmacked]

harpsichordcarrier · 16/01/2006 23:15

Spoons are evil.

Blu · 16/01/2006 23:17

DS had his milk chilled from the fridge, too.

harpsichordcarrier · 16/01/2006 23:17

surely they are cleaner and more sterile
(HC flounders for justification for inherent laziness)

Janh · 16/01/2006 23:17

I am a slapdash mother but I used plastic (prob because I have so much metal in my mouth I hate putting more in - have you ever bitten a bit of aluminium foil with a filling? )
