Board Games for a good games night

DH and I have got very into board games recently after going to a board game cafe with friends. We try to host a bi monthly board game night at home now. Are there any suggestions for really good board games we could start to play? We played a great board game (can't remember what it's called) that focused on a haunted house and exploring different rooms until one of the players turns on everyone else. It was great fun! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also.. any ideas for nibbles would be great as I can never decide what food to do!

Thanks for the suggestion for board game arena. Just signed up. Brilliant site!

It was a godsend during the pandemic period. I was playing games with friends on there and chatting via zoom with different groups of friends on a regular basis. Then we took those sessions to the real world after that, playing at a board game cafe. There's some sort of PC app on steam to simulate games too, but I've not tried it

Not what you asked, but also love 7 Wonders Duel here as a 2-player game.

Another great 2-player game is Patchwork. It's been the most played game here this year

We love board games.
currently taking it in turns with the kids to choose a new one on pay day.
Quacks of quedlingberg is the current favourite in our house.
7 wonders is also a massive hit.
the river and barenpark get played a lot too.
Patchwork is lovely but only 2 player.
