I had a great time at GoFest yesterday. The weather was fine and my battery lasted just long enough to do the last raid and text DH we were coming home.

We did go into the merchandise tent and came out with an Eevee hat and a JigglyPuff. DD2 made a paper felt tip for her when we got home in reference to the JigglyPuff episode in the television series.

On the way home, we met a group of people going the same direction and one of them was dressed as Ash. His costume was amazing. He even had all the badges. So we chatted to him about Pokémon all the way to the tube which was a lovely end to the day.

I will know better how to manage if GoFest comes to London again. But it was great.

We had a great time as well. We spent the morning on the southbank then got the bus to Brockwell Park thankfully the shower hit whilst we were on the bus. My son loved how fast all the raids were and we managed to do the mega rayquaaza before the park. The only thing is our routes are still crashing. We each got 14 or so shiny not as many as others.

I have recommended to friends if they have the global ticket to go into town if they can as it just makes it so much easier. We came away with 4 teddies and lots of the paper hats 🤣.

Am feeling slightly frustrated. Did not manage to get a Rayquaza at all so no idea how, if, or when I will complete that task of mega evolving one. Are there raids still going on or is rayquaza gone for now?

DS v philosophical. 'Well, Mummy, that task will be around for a long time.'😀

It doesn't have to be a Go Fest one - all the ones I caught had crap IVs so I did my two (regular and shiny) best existing ones. If not then yes, it'll wait until they come round again

Unfortunately not. I raided one but couldn't catch it. Have just been doing routes in the City. Some are very confusing cos of all the construction.

I have some from previous raids not mega but have enough mega energy to evolve them.

The ones I won from the go fest morning are all rubbish and only 2 star.

The raids will be back for global go fest on the Sunday at the end of the month

Trade a rubbish one with someone you are lucky with and it should improve.
Don’t make the mistake I did of jumping the gun and evolving mine before it came up in the special tasks.
As pp says they will likely be back for global fest. Hopefully you won’t need to buy a ticket to do them.

I am glad to hear that. I love sending gifts and receiving them. For me, the best part is seeing who everyone has as their buddy. I have an Eevee that I am trying to evolve into an Umbreon so I can meet the level up requirements.

I am excited because yesterday I hatched a Hisuian Growlithe which was pretty cool. DH got a Larvesta and offered to trade it to me (not for the growlithe) because he loves me but I said no because I am determined to hatch one myself.

Have you all hatched or caught anything interesting lately?

I hatched a Larvesta from a 2km egg last week, I'm surprised that you didn't hear me shout from over there.

That's great! They are pretty cool. I have managed to do a few routes. And there are now some within walking distance of where I live. Can't submit any yet though which is too bad because I have a good one.

I didn't think I had a Larvesta yet but I've just checked and I got one back in June. 🙈

I got a 100% shadow Numel the other day which I thought was pretty cool, the first time a shadow one was 100% for me.

I badly want a Larvesta.

I have hatched dozens of the eggs and got nowhere, but I did hatch a shiny Amaura at Go Fest after spending the whole of Adventure Week checking every one I saw and getting nowhere, so that makes up for it a bit 😊

I got a 100 % shadow Abra. I am not allowed to purify it ever but I was permitted to evolve it.

Can anyone tell me if the zygarde cell appears before you finish the route or afterwards. The routes (all 2 of them) I’ve tried keep automating finishing when I get close even when I hold back trying to find a cell. Doesn’t help that if I’m walking I have to hold onto my mobility devices so can’t hold/look at my phone and walk.
On the plus side I have found a route that can be driven if you do it the wrong way as part of it is along a one way road. Doesn’t help if it pauses mid route though as I have to drive right round town to get back to the start. Bet that route doesn’t stay in the game long!

For me, it appeared within the route. But I can't say within which part.
