Routine Sparkles Pokémon Go

New thread. No routes where I am. We're going to be at Pokémon Go Fest on 6 August. V excited.

I think I might have to give up on that one, I've only got 1 7k egg that I've received recently. Just got a 10k from a pokestop and a 12k from a go rocket battle, so I'll never clear enough egg storage to hatch enough tomorrow.

You mean you're not running a marathon before bed to make some space?

That's a lotta eggs! I've got lucky with the first 3, but realistically only one or maybe two more shots at the last one depending if I get out tomorrow or not - WFH.

Well I completed the egg challenge…. Had to drive slowly round the 20 mile per hour one way system around the office at lunch time to do it. Really wasn’t worth it. If I needed stardust maybe it would have been. Thought there would be a better encounter but it was just another carbink. Got plenty of them at London Go Fest.

I've also given up on the hatch challenge. I usually really enjoy the challenges but I couldn't see how that one was ever going to be possible for me.

I somehow managed it, but would have been a lot quicker if I'd realised they were only going to come from gifts and how to manage egg storage a bit sooner. Just needed to remember to open gifts after each hatch and make sure no pokestops or anything else first (but still forgot once and had to clear a 2k that got in the way).

I cycled a good chunk of the distance, burnt through the 2 extra incubators I could afford and did it on the last egg, in the last incubator.

I can use the xp and stardust, so not too disappointed, but I think I might have got more by investing the same number of coins in lucky eggs and star pieces, instead of incubators. 🤔

Almostlegendary, almost entirely ditto your post. Got last missing cutiefly on my last egg that managed to finish hatching in the car home from DC's swimming lesson just now. Luckily had a few hatchers from showcase wins that I hadn't finished using but I wasted too many before I twigged it was 7k eggs I needed.

DS had to tell me it was 7 km eggs and by then too late.

I didn't realise that to get 7 km eggs you have to open gifts after a hatch. I open gifts while drinking my coffee so that never occurred to me. I will wait today just for that experiment.

Will they ever do Tauros raids like for Kangaskhan? Because to finish the platinum Kanto medal for a research thing, I only need a Tauros and a regular Moltres.

I was very late working out that the 7k eggs only came from gifts and it meant you had to open gifts while you had egg storage space. My normal routine is to do gifts when I'm at home, so I had to really make myself stop and do some before doing a pokestop or anything which would fill the egg storage. I don't think eggs from gifts can go to the bonus store either, so you have to hatch from the right bit as well. I never got a shiny cutie fly out of any catches or eggs, so will have to keep looking for one of those.

Tauros has appeared in raids before, and sometimes they have events where all the regionals swap over too!

I'd love to meet another Pokémon Go player and MNer. This week isn't good as it is DS' intensive swimming and I am helping with the herding of 21 9 yos but after that, I am pretty available. I just hope I have something you want to trade you.

DD1 had a day off school yesterday and we went to an exhibit together. On the bus, she saw me playing and she has Pokémon Go on her phone too. She hasn't been into it but yesterday she saw the fun and we ended up playing companiably together. She even challenged me to a battle. It was really lovely. She's 13 so I treasure these moments where Mum is not too bad, really.

The guy in our group got it quickly because he used low CP ones on his wife's account and just battled her. I'm now annoyed that my kids gave up playing because that would be handy right now.
