I'm completely new to this game, only had it a week or so and I don't really know what I'm doing! I bought turnips yesterday.

I'm confused about how to visit other islands, can anyone help me?

Hi, if you want to visit another island you need a nook miles ticket, you buy from the Nook stop, for 2000 nook miles. Then go to the airport and speak to the person there and use your ticket to go to a mystery island. If someone on here opens their island, you go to the airport and chose "want to fly" "visit someone" using a dodo code and you get the code from here and input it. Then you can visit.

I can open up tomorrow if you want to try and visit? I have all the fruits, veg etc and some spare recipes you can have?

You need a Nintendo online subscription to visit other people's islands Unless you are with them in person - then you can visit using local play

@gab254 @DonGray thank you for the help. I have managed to visit somewhere using the miles ticket. When you go there you can just collect anything you fancy/need? I got some cherries and and some bamboo trees and now they are growing on my island.

When you visit someone else's island how does it work with collecting things? If someone came to my island could they just take anything they felt like for example? What stops someone just digging up my trees etc?

Visitors can only take dropped items - not things that are placed
They can shake trees and take fruit & crops and pick flowers
They can visit your shops and buy things
They cannot use an axe or a shovel (unless you make them a best friend)

Was toy day today?? I thought it was tomorrow!

I haven't had a chance to get on today! But I had time travelled the other week and did toy day. I might time travel back when I have a chance to do it again!

I managed to help out jingle and give presents - glad toy day was today and not tomorrow! Made me feel more festive than I was feeling 🎄

Going to clear out a load of stuff. Anything anyone needs?- I might have it. Also have some spare diys if anyone wants to visit!

Hi everyone long time no speak.

I got happy home paradise for Xmas and sadly i'm disappointed! I've done about 12 homes, the school and the cafe but it's incredibly repetitive. Im not finding the joy in it.

Does anyone else have it and am I missing something? Because I feel like I must be!

I've realised I can choose someone from the beach, choose them a plot, go to the house and unwrap the 3 required items and then tell them I'm done and they're DELIGHTED with my 'work'😂 it just seems a bit pointless to me.

@stmw123 I am also not fussed about the HHP

However I do like getting the beach DIY each day, the cooking DIY from the restaurant, buying things from Wardell or the cafe

After 30 homes everything is unlocked and then you can remodel villagers homes on your island

Ok who's going to be on animal crossing for new year?!? Usually they start event celebrations around 6pm, but this year they have a countdown to midnight - not sure I'll manage to stay up that long!

I'm just about to hop on, interested to see what will happen at midnight (if I'm not asleep haha)

Underwhelming- it was just a few party poppers and fireworks and 1000 NM. Only on bc I got home from the neighbors early!

I thought I bought the expansion pack but it seems I just paid for happy homes!- annoying. So now expansion pack will be quite expensive!!- do you recommend it, if you have it?
Does anyone happen to have extras of or spare DIYs for the frozen furniture set? I only have the table.
Also, how do you get flour and sugar? Does Leif sell them?
I have loads of stuff I can share if anybody needs anything or just starting out?
