I've had the update since the 4th but didn't have happy home until just now, but not sure how to get it going

Go and see Tom in res services, he should tell you, then visit the airport?

Lol!! I know right! I might try and open my island a little later, your more than welcome to visit, got loads in storage if you need some stuff 😊

I'm loving all this furniture on here, I wish I could have it all ha! I love the kids tents and the wooden display shelves ... And lots more!!

Definitely nice to have something else to do on the game and get some different furniture

@gab254 I'm a bit of a hoarder for collections (Set up all the kids tents into a campsite on the beach! They're great!)

Waaay too many flowers so need to get rid and do a bit of a refurb.

Going to try and finish Harvs island and get all the shops going first though-

(I did buy this for the kids....)

How do you manage to get the furniture collections? Is it luck as to what becomes available in nooks cranny? Or am I missing something?

I seem to have the same bits of furniture again and again in my shop, same with the DIYs, I didn't manage to get any spring DIYs and just a couple of the autumn ones, I keep getting repeats of the DIYs I already know 😭 I think I have a bad luck island (if such a thing exists).

@BlitheringBlathers it definitely helps to travel to lots of different islands. My DC and I have a switch each so we always go to each other's islands. We shop in each other's shops and swap items.

I also do a lot of trading on discord which helps.

Also make sure you shake your trees everyday, pop lots of balloons and check the nook shopping app as well. All my new items have been on the nook shopping app.

Thank you @Playingoutinthedark ..my island is actually my sons..I just sort of got obsessed with it . I would love to get my own and try that out, maybe santa will be kind to me this year 🤣

I do try to pop balloons but seem to mostly get iron/clay and clothes. I forgot all about the trees though! I will try it out..I remember I was really bad at catching the wasps that fell though so I imagine my poor little character is in for a lot of stings 😅

Santa has been kind and bought me the new Oled Switch. But he seems to think I will be trading in my switch lite and only having one island.

I've just googled the Oled switch...I don't think my Santa is quite so generous as yours 🤣.

@BlitheringBlathers are you facing the tree with your net when shaking trees? Easy to catch the wasps and not get stung when you do that...

@BlitheringBlathers I go to one of the ACNH dodocodes sharing sites (have a Google, there's a few). Lots of people do giveaways, auction off items for nook miles tickets/bells, Cataloging events - that's how I managed to get a lot of full collections (surfboards, cute items/antique etc). Also with the different diys (swaps & giveaways).

There are also loads of treasure islands if you're stuck. Some are paid, but there are loads of free ones as well.

I used a treasure Island to sell my turnips once.

I've left my gates open while I'm busy - FT9LG if anyone wants to come pick up the DIYs that are killing my island star rating. PLEASE TAKE THEM!!!

Ooh I'll google the sharing sites @Creepypastard they sound like they'd be really handy..I don't have a lot of miles to trade with but I could get back on the stalk market to earn some more bells! Thank you!!

This update is immense!!
I went to a treasure Island last night and they've had to spread the new items out over two islands because there's so many.

My island was 5☆ and complete but I've just spent hours totally flattening it so I can restart with the new items and make a castle themed one with the new castlewalls and towers, it's a bit overwhelming to be honest.
