@DonGray thank you, I actually used the ordinary woiden wardrobe an it worked out ok!

I have decided to restart from the beginning. If anyone, (particularly anyone who has just started) wants anything let me know. I won't be on till about 7pm but have a full storage as well as everything you can see on my island.

@Magissa thank you for sharing your dream code, I adore your island. Especially how you have repurposed items to build the steamtrain and ice cream van. I got trapped for a while in the nightclub when I couldn't find my way out . I'm sure your restart will be even more fabulous

Oh @Magissa I don't know how you can stand to delete such a lovely creation! It really is lovely!
If you don't need it anymore, I'd love your festivale stuff and diner bits. I also need some iron and stone fencing if you can spare it.
What's made you decide to restart? What will you do differently?

@Magissa if you have any mushroom items/materials/diys in storage, I'd love to have them please. Also if you'd like me to store anything for you, I have space & would be happy to.

I decided to restart because I haven't felt like playing lately. I think starting from the beginning again will give me some fresh ideas

So I've got a third ish of my island done. Shops, museum and campsite are all where I want them to be. I think. But not sure what to do with my houses. How have you all done your neighbourhoods? I need some serious inspiration..

@BubblegumLife.. I did have my villagers altogether but decided to spread them round a bit more.. and they do seem to interact with eachother/items outside their home more. I've seen some really fab neighbourhoods on other islands but I'm a basic bitch and know mine will never be that well done!!

Isabel keeps telling me too many items laying around.. does anyone know, do diys count as items laying around? I have a bunch laid out for sharing but perhaps that's what's bringing my island rating down?
I'll open my island this eve if anyone wants diys or just to visit?

Hi @Moon22, yes Diy's do seem to count as clutter and bring the island rating down. I think they even do if they're dropped onto tables/stalls which is a shame. I've got the same problem at the moment as I keep getting duplicates.

@moretea I've just read that if you have more than 9, it brings the island rating down quite annoying when you just want to share!
I have also just read though, that you can store them in the recycling box! That might be worth doing.. even though I'm ridiculously proud of my help yourself diy area!
Apparently, on each 8x8 tile area; if more than 45 tiles are covered in furniture, you will slso be downgraded. I have just spent ages trying to make a nice market square area.. which will definitely have used loads of squares and furniture! Hmmm, perhaps I'll just live with bring a 4 star establishment lol!

I started terraforming, built a staircase, then took half of it down. Now I've just got some random raised areas and I've given up 😂 houses are all still on the beach!
I have loads of spare DIYs if anyone needs them although some are pretty basic ones. Going to dry my hair then go on for a bit I think..
