I've just bought loads of turnips this morning, I've never bought this many before so I'm a little nervous...last time I bought them I forgot about them and came across a bunch of rotted ones on the beach 😂.

On a different note, does anyone know how to get purple hyacinths? I read that you get them using orange hyacinths, but it's been ages and I've got nothing to show for it! Does anyone have any tips?

Yes, orange and orange, mine took a while and lots of kind people on here watering them for me! I can water them for you if that would help? Or I could bring a couple over for you, easier option!!

Yes you need to water black roses with the gold watering can (or get a visitor to do it for you)

I'm confused by what Isabel wants from me!- she tells me to devotatethe item head to toe with items and furniture, but also tells me there's too much stuff cluttering the island up! Any tips?
I also have realised I hate terraforming and really don't plan to do it much!

@Moon22 There's a difference between "placed" items, which are fine, and "dropped" items, which are what she's referring to. These are things like DIYs you might have dropped on the beach for visitors to pick up or items you've dropped outside (leaf shapes) because you've run out of storage for example. I think fallen branches might also count. Tidy all these up and she'll be happy.

The star rating of the island is updated in real time so go and ask her about evals straight away after tidying and see what she says.

I find it confusing too! Then the HHA told me I'd get better marks if all my furniture matched - I like to mix it all up, I don't have enough rooms to have all matching furniture in each!

Pity we can't decorate the villagers houses for them...

I would love to decorate the other villagers homes. And to be able to hang things on the sides of cliffs!

I also remember in older AC games villagers used to visit your home and sometimes would invite you over to theirs to buy items from their homes, which would be good!
