Can anyone help out a newbie... can't seem to work out how to build bridges/ramps... for one in and apparently need to ask Tom Nook about infrastructure but can't see how to do it?! Getting a bit tired of all this vaulting around!! Tia

Hi all - another relative newbie here - been playing a few weeks and have got the museum built, built my house and had my first trips off the island (actual and dreaming!) but could do with a bit of help on a couple of things!

I’m trying to collect materials for the shop which seems to be the latest big challenge - but the iron nuggets (I think it’s that one) are taking forever to build up as I only seem to find 2 or 3 big rocks a day. Any tips, is it just a slow burn or do I need to travel to get them?

Secondly, as poster asked above, how do we access the upper levels of our island? I’ve got the vaulting pole but this only allows me to cross a stream?

Hi, the higher levels can only be accessed once you have the ladder recipe which you will get once you build the shop! If you have enough Nook miles take some trips to other islands, they will always have rocks to bash. I'm off out on a run in a minute but could come to your island later and bring you some iron, if you would like. You'll have 5 rocks somewhere on your island but the last 2 may be on the higher levels.

Once you get far enough in, Tom will give you your first bridge building pack, until then it's vaulting for you I'm afraid! It doesn't take too long.

I used the nook miles to go to islands - make sure you have empty(ish) pockets. Take axe, spade, vaulting pole, fishing rod if you fancy a fish.

Then bash every rock, chop every tree, dig up any flowers you want etc! You will come back with a lot of resources!

I’ll try and get them by travelling but @RamsayBoltonsConscience I may take you up on your offer (or I could visit your island if you PM your code?)

My last travels were in a dream which of course you can’t take any items with you so yes I need to fly. I think I should have enough miles. I was in awe of the island I visited though! Mine looks so basic in comparison (although I now have super Mario wallpaper in my house )

The weird thing is I've got a bridge (my son did it but I didn't see the process)... just not sure how to buy/craft more?!!
