That kingdra is lovely. I was saving my coins for 3 remote raid passes but am tempted to get an incense for tomorrow and hope a shiny appears...
I would also be gutted to lose a shiny like that.
My big fail was having 2 dratini (long before this dragon week was announced) and I transferred the wrong one and kept the one with the worse stats... but at least this week I was able to improve and I now have a lovely 3 star dragonite. Have maxed it for the great league. Not too sure I'll see enough dratini before the dragon week ends to get another one but I'm happy that it's another good slot filled in the Pokédex!

Lumpy I nearly wept when a shiny Larvitar ran from me a couple of years back so I know your pain.

They shouldn't do that!!! It's mean!!! I have a spare shiny Larvitar you can have if remote trading becomes a thing.

@LumpySpacedPrincess apparently Shinies are a guaranteed catch in a raid. I agree, not fair for them to run away in the wild!

I throw a nanab berry at a shiny and that seems to hold them long enough to catch.

Can’t remember who asked but you can definitely trade legendaries - it’s expensive though, even if best friends.
Dd and my neice and I wait until we’re lucky friends so we keep good stats. Shame you need to be near each other I have loads of best friends I’ve never met
No luck on the ray raids today timed out of one and the other ran away, I’ve been mostly hunting for a shiny Dratini... I’m up to 700 candy and still no joy

Thanks cupidity am off to the local country park this morning to meet my twins best friend and his mum and trying to work out how I can play constantly without her thinking I’m weird (or rude)... so many pokestops...

Are any of you about for a Ray raid? Probably need 3 of you with decent ice types. There's about half an hour on it.

What do you guys think of putting together a MN discord for raid invites? No refreshing the page required, you can have the app up and get notifications.

I use Discord and Telegram for organising raids near work and home respectively, both easy to use and was thinking about suggesting that we move to one or other. But I wasn’t sure whether everyone would want to embrace a new platform and so I suggested a separate thread instead. Happy to go with the majority on this.

I'm on discord and would be happy to join. It's easier to organise raids as there's no confusing MN names & PoGo names and it's easier to set your notifications up.

@TheGriffle, it's an app designed for gamer type people to communicate.

I've hatched a Deino, 2 Gibles today and caught 3 wild so maybe Niantic took people's complaints on board and gave them a tweak. Or maybe we got lucky.

Also got 2 shinies today; Aron & Volbeat. Now I'm very pleased with them but it's supposed to be a dragon event

@TheMShip and @WitchSharkadder i think a discord would be a good idea as its much easier to get an overview than a fast moving thread. I was thinking of asking the same.
I have it and some groups use some automated raid entry thing (Pokenav?) but i don’t know it well enough to know how its done though!

@TheMShip and @WitchSharkadder forgot to say that I think Discord could work better than Telegram as you don’t need a phone number to set it up and seems easier to retain anonymity? Could be wrong...

Yeah you could just use your PoGo name on there and no need to refer to your MN one if you didn't want them linked. I've set up a basic server. Let's try it out?
