Another question, this time regarding gyms and the bronze, silver, gold status.
How does this work? Is it based on how long you have defended it? Because I have one gym which is silver and I have defended it for 1d 11h but another gym which is still bronze but I've defended it for longer.
pottypotamus Lots of different factors contribute to your gym badge status. Each activity at a gym earns a certain number of points.
Here is a breakdown:
• Placing a Pokemon in a gym (+100 Badge XP)
• A Pokemon defending a gym (+1 Badge XP per minute)
• Defeating a Pokemon in a gym (CP of Pokémon defeated divided by 100)
• Winning a raid battle (+ 1000 Badge XP)
• Feeding a Pokemon a berry (+ 10 Badge XP, as well as 20 Stardust and candy chance)
A bronze badge requires 500 XP, a silver badge requires 3,500 XP and a gold badge requires 26,000 XP.
So you can see the fastest way by far to get gold on a gym is raiding at it, following by regular gym battles.
In terms of your personal gyms, it means the gym you’re silver at will have seen much more activity from you than the bronze one.
