I'm loving the new special research. I'm not loving that none of my Pikachu have been shiny. Harrumph (Dr)

BaronessBomburst Shinies are completely independent and random chance. A shiny Pokemon isn’t shiny for everyone who clicks on it; it’s personal to that player.

Shinies are meant to be rare, so it’s to stop everyone going onto group chats or informing their friends that ‘the Charmander on X street is a shiny!’ and everyone rushing over.

I did get another t'tar so I'm happy about that. I evolved her in bed this morning, just as the event was ending, so I could get the special moves. Is blast burn really better than stone edge?

Fire Blast isn’t Tyrannitar’s special move; it’s a charge move for a start. Tyrannitar’s special move for Community Day was the quick move Smack Down.

Fire Blast is the worst possible charge move Tyrannitar can have, so you want to use a charge TM to get rid of it ASAP.

Tyrannitar’s best charge move paired with the special community day quick move Smack Down is Stone Edge.

Really chuffed with the results of the community weekend, 8 shinies (Squirtle, Charmander and Chikorita), tons of candy, and hoping to trade a shiny squirtle for a shiny dratini today or tomorrow (then will evolve and leave as shiny Dragonair 😍)

And can't forget this guy, been waiting a long time for a Venasaur (about 2 years.??), evolved a Flaffy too, but still short on candy to evolve him again, will walk him once I've got enough scyther candy. Finally evolved my shiny drowzee too

I didn't mean I'd clicked on the same pokes as DS either, although obviously I probably did. I meant that I'd clicked on as many pokémon. Therefore I am narked that he got 5 shines (I got that bit wrong too ) and I got 0.

I got a 10k egg first full week, then a 5k egg. This week, no eggs despite having two slots open . Can't get out much this week either so no 50k achievement for me this time.

TallulahBetty No, nothing exclusive. They’re just guaranteed Gen IV Pokemon.

I got only a 5k egg when I had three egg slots available, I busted a gut to do 50k this last week! Also: suicune and NO sinnoh stone this morning. Makes me want to have a week's break really. There's nothing special happening and I think it would be good for me - and the family!

Yeah, eggs aren’t guarenteed regardless of the number of egg slots you have available, and neither are Sinnoh stones guaranteed.

well indeed, I know that but it doesn't make it any less disappointing. I think my obsession with playing the game is getting in the way of life a tad.

I agree @MrsJamin. Two weeks in a row I've walked over 50k and had eggs slots free but no eggs. I know it's not guaranteed but it's still annoying! I did get 3 rare candy this morning which I'm chuffed with. Then I got a 10k egg from a Pokestop. So all in all it worked out ok.

I actually have 3 10k eggs cooking at the moment. Can't remember the last time - probably 2 years ago! Egg drops are stingy these days!

I just had 8 5k and one alolan egg when I'd opened a gift just at the point when another egg hatched. The Gen IV Pokémon are coming out too slowly to be interesting, they are being so stingy with the sinnoh stone and that doesn't even work yet with loads of Pokémon that have Gen IV evolutions. Boo Niantic I'm off for a while.

I agree the lack of Sinnoh stones is frustrating. Scratch that, it's really fucking annoying. Fair enough, I have Rhyperior, and he's a beast, but I've not had a Sinnoh stone drop for 12 days.

At least Bulbasaur and Cyndaquil are still about. I had the former run away and caught one of the latter. I want to evolve some of my high IV Gen IV 'Mon and my best (98%) Murkrow, but I can't because of the lack of stones. (Dr) Harrumph.
