Also what are lucky pokemon and how do you get them? Are they in the wild? I have never come across any.
pottypotamus No, they’re not in the wild or in eggs. You can only get lucky Pokemon via trade.
When you trade, the Pokemon has a chance of becoming lucky, and the longer you’ve had the Pokemon, the higher the chance of it becoming lucky. So, Pokemon from summer 2016 are almost guaranteed to be lucky, whereas ones you’ve caught this year not so much.
(If you have less than 10 lucky Pokemon, then any Pokemon traded from July and August 2016 has a 100% chance of becoming lucky.)
Lucky Pokemon have base stats starting from 12/12/12 and the stardust cost of powering them up is 50% lower.
So while they can be amazing for the likes of Tyrannitar, Dragonite, Gyarados etc, there’s little point in a Lucky Pokemon you aren’t going to battle with as the stats and low stardust cost becomes irrelevant.
