Old thread was almost full and it had to be done.

I got a couple of illumise when I was in CAnada this summer. Transferred one earlier this week as I mistook it for a volbeat 🙄 whilst tidying up as box was full. Not the first time I’ve done that either!

Is anyone else seeing millions of volbeat? It's not like they are psychic and whilst they've never been rare they are EVERYWHERE here. I was wondering if it might mean they are about to swap over with illumise but that's probably over optimistic.

Silke106, we are due to become ultra friends when I open your gift, if it’s ok with you, I’ll do it tomorrow (Monday) when I crack a lucky egg just after 8.30pm. Binky9999 and Wildbilly, we are also due to become ultra friends, and I think you both have gifts of mine - if you could wait until 8.30pm, that would be a bonus, but understand if you can’t.

Do other people come across shiny Pokemon very often? I have two, but judging by my local fb group there are a lot more out there!

I've been playing just under six months and have five non-event shinies.

Hang on, I got an ex raid pass last week for Tuesday and now another one? for a week on Tuesday?

I got most of my Shinies on Community days.

Head to wherever the popular place is for players to congregate locally on community day, and if it's anything like my city, you'd be hard pressed not to catch a few shinies.

@MonaChopis, sorry, going to have to open your gift as I need to put a lucky egg on for evolving 10 water pokemon field quests. If you catch this in time put an egg on when you next open the game.

Belzzjpn No, shinies are nothing to do with location.

They’re completely random. If you want shinies outside of community days (where they’re easy to find) the only thing you can do to increase your chances is to click on every single Pokemon that has a shiny form in the hope of it being shiny.

You don’t have to catch it, as you can see straight away if it’s shiny or not, you just have to click on it.

I have 68 shinies, of which 25 are non-event shinies.

Yeah, shinies are arbitrary. On Dratini day I got one shiny: Swablu. Who is a lovely yellow. On Charmander day I got nowt. My friends, in the main, got loads.

I'm not fussed, I can trade!

I do try and catch as many as I can - I have only ever come across the two shinies that I have caught (a Kabuto and a Geodude). I will keep hunting.

Belzzjpn Luckily you don’t have to catch everything - just click on all shiny-potentials

Sometimes if I’m in a hurry on the way to work I don’t catch anything, I just click on every single shiny-potential Pokemon to see if they’re shiny.

I'm rather sporadic with gifts and most days only have a couple to send out, but others I'm in London and get loads
