So it would appear Deoxys is coming to “ex”-raids.

Ridiculous. They should scrap the entire idea of exclusive raids when the Pokemon aren’t actually exclusive to said raids.

Personally I'd scrap ex raids altogether but I don't mind them doing an event at the end of the Ex raid period for a pokemon (like they're doing for MewTwo) the exclusivity thing doesn't really bother me much either way.

They need to make their minds up: either these Pokemon are exclusive Pokemon you can only get from exclusive raids or they’re not. They can’t have it both ways.

I wouldn’t mind if they weren’t selling them as something they’re not.

The raids themselves are exclusive though as you can only get in them with an ex pass.

The pokemon from them are only exclusive for a limited time, though I'd expect ex raid deoxys will have moves only obtainable for the ex raid version, as mewtwo does with Shadow Ball and Hyper Beam.

I've never heard of deoxys is it available in the game?

SneakyGremlins Deoxys is a mythical Pokemon (like Mew and Celebi) from Gen III.

It had been held back from the general Gen III release due to its unique ability to change between its four forms (Attack, Defense, Speed and Normal) so it was speculated it would either be ex raid or special research.

The raids themselves are exclusive though as you can only get in them with an ex pass.

SirNilsOlav That was never specified. It was heavily implied the only way to ever be able to get Mewtwo was via ex-raids, and it should have stayed that way.

They need to look after their dedicated hardcore players and not shit all over them as they’re the ones that keep the game going.

Has anyone confirmed that Shadow Ball is definitely going legacy after today on Mewtwo? Because if it is, I'll try my luck with my last couple of charge tms on my current Focus Blast Mewtwo.

SirNilsOlav No, it was not obvious and nobody saw it coming. Few people are going to get on a flight specifically to get a regional Pokemon, but a lot of people spent a lot of money on raid passes specifially to try to get an ex-raid pass.

Then of course there’s all the hours and trials and errors we put in to figuring out ex-raid gyms and how the system works.

Oh and Corsola and Unown aren’t specifically event Pokemon. Corsola is regional and Unown can spawn anywhere anytime.

I know Corsola is regional but the release of Corsola out of its region was advertised as specifically for the Dortmund event and people in my group and others did spend money to fly there for Corsola, then felt pretty hard done by when it then was spawning across Europe.

Perhaps in your group of players nobody saw the wider mewtwo release coming, but I know in mine people had thought it would happen eventually and by far the most common prediction I saw on Twitter/the Silph Road for the ultra bonus unlock was "Mewtwo day".

I had a good day today. I had 5 Alolan eggs cooking simultaneously. They all hatched, and were, in order, Kangaskhan, Sandshrew, Meowth, Tauros and Meowth. My Kanto 'Dex is now complete. :o

Today was also the day to complete the 7 day Field Research task so I caught another Entei. To put the tin hat on the day I caught the last 9Grass/Psychic types I needed and caught Celebi. I am quite pleased.

SirNilsOlav I did say few people specifically catch a plane just to catch a regional, not none altogether. But that’s really by the by, because if you went to catch Corsola in Dorrtmund, it had already been moved for the event, as in it wasn’t in its original location, and you knew it was a possibility.

However again, that’s another failure by Niantic.

Unown is rare. If someone spots one they do post it on a local group but usually too far to run to it! They seem to appear not at pokestops so don't appear on the nearby. Also really tiny so hard to see.

I got a few during the event but that's it.

SneakyGremlins Of course I do! The only ones I have are from the event last year.

My point, though, is that despite how rare it is, it does have the ability to spawn anytime anywhere.

Sneaky it might've been around the time I needed new glasses but I found it hard to spot. I think I'd easily walk past one.
