In all fairness, whattodo, taking down a quilava in a raid is hardly a challenge with any half decent pokemon. I certainly don't sweat what I'm going to pit against it, because it takes all of about 25-30 seconds, regardless, and spend 119 seconds tapping my fingers, waiting for the battle to start.

Now catching the bugger is a different story.

PickAChew Oh yeah I know, they're piss easy to take down. I just would never use a grass against fire as fire is super effective against grass (like water is super effective against fire and grass super effective against water).

Mostly good news, but no more bulbasaur - I'm going to have to walk to get my venusaur.

I've had a good few days. Defeated Articuno with a group from the raid chat, but didn't catch him. DP did Got an electaboz in a raid. Hatched loads of mostly rubbish stuff, but I did finally get a phanphy Span lots of stops too and stocked up on stuff. Accidentally put my 10km egg in my infinite incubator though - ooos! Got 2 10ks on the go and a 5k, fingers crossed!

MummySparkle Makes sense they've taken the Gen I starters out of eggs as most people will have caught them during their events, and they're gearing up for Gen III in the next few months.

You can also get Shiny Pichu and Shiny Magikarp in eggs as well.

I can't think of one of those hyper rare species that I'd be pleased to hatch!

I'm a bit annoyed that Gen 1 starters have been removed from eggs . I'm no where near getting any of the starter evolutions from Gen 1. I'm not blaming Niantic, it's my fault because I stopped playing for so many months and missed a fair few of the events. It just seems an impossible feat to achieve now!

Since the 13 months since PoGo was released, I have gathered a grand total of...16 Bulbasaur candies so I doubt Venosaur will happen this side of the next few years

When it says 'hyper rare', 'super rare' etc. Is that based on the chances of hatching them in eggs, or as they're banded in the game in general? Even if Shuckles are rare to hatch from eggs, for example, it doesn't seem to be one of those Pokemon that everyone is desperate to find to fill their Pokedex with. They often have nests and I know from watching YouTube videos that they spawn all the time in the USA. I'm assuming it's specific to eggs as it's an egg chart, but thought I'd ask in case it wasn't!

cottonwool125 Yeah, it's their chance of you hatching them out of an egg, not their general rarity status in the game

For example, Phanphy's are a common hatch but they're exceptionally rare in the game (I've personally never seen a wild one).

In the Super Rare category, I would be most pleased to get Lickitung, because they're a rare spawn and they have another evolution in Gen IV, and you need the candies for it!

I'd also be happy with Snorlax (never have enough), Pineco (haven't yet got Forretress), Miltank (only have a poor wild one) and Misdreavus (has another evolution in Gen IV like Lickitung so need the candies for it).

Has anyone else got a glitch where some pics of caught Pokemon are just white boxes? I went in and out again but I still have a missing spinarak this morning!

Yup that glitch and your avatar losing colour seem to be the common graphical glitches amongst my raid group

I've had loads of Pokémon repeatedly break out, lots of flees too. So annoying.

Yes, they are. Phanphys are particularly rare in the wild, and I've only seen two or three wild Lickitungs.

I see Phanphy fairly often but only got 2 Likitung ever I think during the event

I've seen 11 wild lickitung and caught eight, two of those outside of the event. The first one I ever saw my phone battery went when I was catching it, even worse was that my hubby then caught it ! I have 3 wild subphylum and I often see it at a local pokestop which is at a country park entrance. I suppose though you guys have a tonne of stuff that you see often which I never see.

Without fail if I go to the park the Pokémon has gone - when I get home - it pops back up in sightings.

It's a 10-15 minute walk / I've been twice today and I even set off a lure to see if I could get the onix to come out - nothing

I can see it in my sightings again - taunting me!!

Anyone had trouble logging in? I've not been able to play all weekend, even tried with the wifi at home.

So annoying as we've been out more than usual and probably could have caught lots

Lures don't work like that; they don't "lure" Pokemon on your nearby list, they're completely independent.

I haven't had trouble. Are you a google or Pokemon trainer account?
