My last four 2ks have been Nidorans MummySparkle to be fair, it wasn't as frustrating as when they used to be in 5ks! Felt like such a waste of walking

You want good IVs but if the CP is too low it's just not worth it.

I'm personally not happy about it; it's far too early and would be much better in Spring.

It would fit based on the apk mine etc but I'm not sure that website is a reliable source, and none of the main sites have picked it up.

I do understand where you're coming from WhatToDo though, about it being a funny time of year for them to release it, and being very close to all of the major updates they've done this season.

I'm personally really looking forward to it. I've never been fussed overly about joining groups for raids and taking part in loads of gym battles. I do the odd one when I can, for XP and items sure but it's not the main appeal to me. When they do release P2P battling, that won't bother me much either! I just like collecting them, evolving them and hatching them. So the more 'mon they release into the game, the better

Ooh that's exciting if true. I'm more of a pokedex player too and not that bothered about raids and gyms, so that should be good timing to keep me going through the winter.

Hope this is true, although I've not completed gen 1 or 2 yet! I'm definitely a collector, although getting better at gyms. Went to do my first raid without ds tonight and it was cancelled as not enough people, still no legendaries for us!

But that's the thing, for those of you who are pokedex collectors and not bothered about raids and so on, this is only going to make it so much harder for you to complete your dex's.

I don't know how reliable that source is, but I'm hoping it's not true to give us all more time to complete Gen I and II.

Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.73.1 for Android and 1.43.1 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.

• Added the ability for Trainers to spin the Photo Disc at a Gym using the Pokémon GO Plus accessory.

• Added the ability to view the number of Trainers entered, and preparing, for a Raid Battle before using a Raid Pass.

• Improved Pokémon Collection screen search functionality by allowing Trainers to search through their Pokémon’s moves using the @ character.

• Resolved a bug which caused the Raid Boss to always break free from the last Premier Ball.

• Resolved a bug that prevented Trainers from seeing they’d received double XP from Raid Battles when using a Lucky Egg.

So of course, the big ones are seeing whose in a raid before you spend your raid pass and the last ball glitch being resolved

It's good that they've added the ability to see other trainers are about before using a raid pass, that was irking me somewhat.

Just saw the possibility of new mon,

I'm almost there with gen 2, everything is walkable now so it's getting kind of boring.

We've still got a couple of months to build up our dex as much as possible before Gen 3 drops so that's good. As exciting as it'll be catching new Pokemon, I'll probably carry on trying to get the last few additions to my Gen 1 and 2 dex' before really focusing on Gen 3! So I'll carry on walking the bits I need etc

Yeh, I always work down on the dex. Won't it be glorious to see shadows though!

Ooh sooner than I expected for gen 3.

I've got a few to fill my pokedex still (ignoring regionals), can't remember them all but I do have a spreadsheet to keep track so I can see which is best to walk next. Currently on a Flaaffy.

Starting to get out and about a bit more now, still won't be going far for raids but should hopefully be fit enough to manage some from next week.

I'm kicking myself today though. Hatched the 5k in my orange incubator, went to put a 2k in and accidentally chose one of my blue incubators instead. I don't even like using those for 5k.

I'm starting to think I was way too hasty posting that link about Gen III. I've had a look and none of the major sites have picked it up this morning, so I think it is, thankfully, a fake.

I've heard that they've already added the code for Gen 3 into the game, this was a week or so ago now. I think they did that around 3 months before they released Gen 2, so it could still be this year

cottonwool125 Yes, they've added some Gen III data in, but not all (for example, sounds haven't been added yet).

It took 3 months after the Gen II data was added for it to be released, but there are a lot less Pokemon in Gen II than Gen III, so I would realistically expect it to take a lot longer.

Prepping for gen III... what candies do I need to start collecting?

On an aside note, Murkrow. What is its fucking point?!?! They're everywhere, high CP so hard to catch, but not high enough to be of any use in battles. And they don't evolve... Gah. I can't think of anything so common but so utterly useless in gen1, at least nidorans evolve!

However, there are no new evolutions in Gen III; they're all in Gen IV. You should still start saving now though, because with the release of each Gen everything will become more rare.

I've also attached a pic of all the new evolutions in Gen IV.

Actually, Murkrow do evolve; they evolve in Gen IV into Honchkrow, and they're not bad Pokemon. In the picture I've attached, it's on the bottom line on the far left.
