The extra XP is great as well. I'm hoping to level up to 30 soon and I think that's one where you get a good haul of incubators etc.

AbbeyRoadCrossing Yeah, every five levels you get better stuff. Level 30 gets you:

Ultra Ball x30, Max Potion x20, Max Revive x20, Razz Berry x20, Incense x3, Lucky Egg x3, Egg Incubator x3, Lure Module x3

You also unlock max revives.

Caught my first Doduo today.

Haven't seen many charmanders around here which is a shame and no Lapruses either. Only just (with berries) managed to get enough candy so that I can evolve a houndour. Also should we really be feeding our Pokémon junk food?

You mean that you don't regular order a Pinap Berry burger with Razz Berry sauce and a side of Nanab Berry fries?

Actually it could mostly be true as there is a pokestop just over the road to my nearest McDonalds. Though I was more thinking about all the candy. Surely they will be sick after having 50 of them? Spare a thought for the poor magikarp...

I've run out of ultra and great balls trying to catch cyndaquills and charmanders with a standard ball and a cp of 100+ is nearly impossible!

cottonwood Do you have Razz berries? They make Pokemon easier to catch.

Kpo58 yes I do, have been using them with pretty much every attempt, seems to be making little difference! Used probably 7 or 8 razberries on a charmander earlier, he kept breaking free, then eventually fled! Good cp too

cottonwool125 Charmanders, along with Cyndaquills, have a low catch rate of 20% so they are hard to catch.

Razzberries do make a difference and they do make them easier to catch (you can see the circle change colour sometimes, from dark orange to yellow or yellow to green), but it will be tricky to catch such rare Pokemon in a poke ball I'm afraid.

I need 14 cyndaquil candies to do a full evolve and 15 sneasel candies to be ready for a weavile and I've done everything for fire and ice Pokémon except get 50 magmar candies for its future evolve. I've only seen one magmar so far though.

My pokedex is looking pretty good now :)

I have seen three Magmar shadows so far this event and been unable to catch them all! So desperately looking for one as I need one.

I do have a Magby I could walk if I had to, so all is not lost, but I would quite like that Magby to stay as a baby if possible.

We've had magmar nests pretty locally and I didn't bother with them because I didn't know it was going to evolve and then when I did I thought I'd leave it because of this event! Oops :) I'd love a magby, I've hardly any baby Pokémon.

Ahh okay that's a shame! I think I have all the baby Pokemon now apart from Tyrogue; all from eggs.

Our local rec is spawning doduo at a low rate since the nest change. It was houndoom before, and cyndaquil before that. Always one or two near the pokestop.

Still no sniff of a Lapras. I think I might actually cry if I don't get one on this event. I'm 16 cyndaquil candies off a full evolve, got 40 magmar and 40 sneasel. Just going to collect a few more tomorrow and then stick a lucky egg on and evolve everything; hopefully I'll level up to 29 as well.

I'm sitting on my candy until the next double xp event. i haven't seen a sniff of a Lapras this event, luckily I have a couple already.

Out most of the day yesterday in all different areas with incense on and no sniff of a lapras. My 10k eggs were sudowoodo and mantine. Ffs. Lots of cynquadil, houndor and ponyta.

Still 100k off level 32 but made good progress on it.

When does this event finish? I need 5 more coins to get a bargain bumper pack of eggs.

I only need two more Charmander and then my fire pokes are complete. Flying too, for that matter. A few more Sneasels would be great too, for gen 4! We don't get them often, normally.

It's been very frustrating, being on holiday witha dodgy connection during this event, but I was pleasantly surprised that the two fire-type starter pokemon were to be found in abundance. Much better than Totodiles in the water event!

Bath was pretty good, by the way. I saw a few Lapras but couldnt give chase as we were with family (I have a few already so it didnt matter) so they are out there! Took a great boat trip up the Avon which hatched two eggs for me

I've just taken out a brand new contract with a new phone because my old one is failing just so I can play Pokemon go

Is that dedication? Or just sad?
