Caught a Wobbuffet today. That's 184 caught. Today's hatches were Pineco, Mankey and Machop. My final 10km egg has 2.1km to go and I really want a Snorlax. The other 8 are all 5km. Harumph.

My fingers are twitching to do a Lucky Egg mass evolve but I'm waiting to see what the Easter event is going to be. Then I'll recycle critters for candy to free up space and chuck out a Lucky Egg. At least it'll get me closer to Level 30.

FreeNiki · 09/04/2017 18:48

Magikarp hat...lol!

Oooo I want one!

PickAChew · 09/04/2017 19:22

Ronnie, check out the Dolph road global nest atlas to find out if there are any decent nests at parks in your area. Ds1 and I travel all over the northeast to get to the good ones. This migration, we're picking up chikorita in Durham and we're off to Middlesbrough's, this week, for totodile and possibly some cynquadil. A park in Newcastle proved to be a bit of a dud totodile nest, yesterday, but we bagged an Onix in Washington, later that afternoon! Previous migration, we made a couple of visits to a good slugma nest in Sunderland and picked up a yanma in North Shields, a selfish at a different Washington park and took a trip all the way up to morpeth for so sunkern, which were hanging out by the castle!

I just went out to do my pokestop streak and it didn't say anything. No extra stardust so I don't think it worked Sad. I should've been on day 6.
Hoping it's a glitch and I still get day 7 tomorrow as it's been very lean for special items

IamRonnieBiggs · 09/04/2017 19:50

Pickachew you're a serious player

Tell me where you are going in m'bro please!

DearMrDilkington · 09/04/2017 20:35

I caught a very scary looking mimeShock

WhiteHorseWilliam · 09/04/2017 20:36

Caught my first Larvitar yesterday, and hatched my first Porygon today.

Thinking of swapping my buddy Dratini for Larvitar. I was just walking Dratini to power up my Dragonite. But I would need 121 Larvitar candy for Tyranitar... 605 km of walking... just seems so daunting... that's more than three times as far as I've walked in the game so far (started in Jan). I could hope for a hatch or two to help me on my way, I suppose, or a reduced buddy-candy-distance event.

DD had 5 10k eggs at one point on Friday, her hatches have been great - Snorlax, Dratini, Dratini, Skarmory (new). Still one to hatch tomorrow, she's hoping for a Lapras which she doesn't have, or a Larvitar to boost her buddy (she needs 77 candy for Tyranitar). I had one 10k egg which hatched yesterday. Pineco. Of course.

FreeNiki · 09/04/2017 20:53

I have all the special item evolves now.

So jealous Niki - we're 6 candies away from evolving one but haven't got any of the others yet!

TinfoilHattie · 09/04/2017 22:36

Hatched a Mareep from a 10k egg earlier, pretty much the highlight of my Pokemon-ing weekend. Up to 197 caught on the Pokedex, walking a Chansey to evolve a Blissey but it's going to take a while.

Any speculation on what the Easter event might be - if any?

PickAChew · 09/04/2017 23:09

Albert park, Ronnie. Short walk or bus ride from the town centre, just behind the dorman museum. The gardens across the road are a second, small nest.

Now the weather is improving, I'm determined to tire out the boys' legs. Clocked up 15000 steps, yesterday and 12000, today. Planning on returning to Tynemouth pier because that's a good leg stretch and should be ok with ds2, who has ld and can be a bit of a handful, but loves bridges, piers, crashing waves and so on. He loved a walk along the river wear, in Durham, this afternoon.

I'm getting there, Niki, but don't have a good gloom, or even oddish and need a few more sunkern. I have my best poliwhirl, which I've named poliwow, lined up for a politoed.

What a sweetie!

Park update:
Passed the gardens and no sign of any cynquadil. The key pokestop there is a brass pumpkin - I looked around and commented to DS1 that it appears to have been removed, then saw it down by my feet - actually pumpkin sized.

Got into Albert park and headed for our first totodile. Well into the middle of the park - at which point, 3 cynquadil appeared in sightings at the pumpkin and hte building next door!

By the time we'd done a circuit of the park, catching 4 totodile each (it's a massive park and we left one behind because it spawned right at the back as we were heading out again) the cynquadil had done. Decided to make use of the facilities in the Dorman museum, only to find it shut. Passed a bit of time around the gardens (not much of them to pass time in, tbh) and grabbing some water from the nearby one stop shop until it was past the time in the hour when the last batch of cynquadil had spawned. No sign of anything and the sun had gone in and it was feeling like rain - and my fitbit had buzzed for 10000 steps already, so fulfilled something else off our nerdy wishlist and caught an ancient (and very uncomfortable, but apparently they go like the clappers) Wrightbus Cadet back into town! If we do that park again, this holiday, we'll catch a Temsa Avenue back, instead :o

On the upside, we did catch ourselves a cynquadil each on the way back into Durham, I hatched a second Elekid in 2 days, after not having any at all and I found the kings rock I was needin, so I won't care what I gt for my 7 day streak, tomorrow - sun stones and kings rocks are probably most useful for evolving sunkerns and slopwpoke purely for the XP.

Also now have enough hoppip candy to evolve all the way.

Good evening all.

Would just like to share this little beast with you all.

Caught it sat on my sofa.

Noticed the CP isn't bad for a Magikarp but the bar isn't towards the end yet compared to my 150 odd Magikarps. Does that mean that Red Gyarados are higher CP than blue ones?!

I'm going to wait until I do a lucky egg before I evolve it.

Can't wait!

So envious jfw82, ds and I play since July and we have never seen an Aerodactyl ever.
We are in Germany at my mum's place and there is an enormous number of pokestops within 5 minutes walk, it makes such a difference to the four stops we can access at home, only two we can walk to. Very different spawns to the ones at home as well, haven't seen a Magikarp since we are here or any other water Pokemon's.

IamRonnieBiggs · 11/04/2017 08:53

Pickachew - were at the Dorman tomorrow! Excited!!

PokemonGo · 11/04/2017 10:52

I've not checked in for ages but am still playing, probably too much 😂 I think my friends and family have just accepted it's my thing 🤷🏻‍♀️ and that it's a bit weird but they are happy to humour me.
I'm not too far of level 36 but am waiting to see if something happens over Easter. I've been hoarding all my best Pokemon and am hoping for double candy or something. I keep my Pokemon storage really full and only delete the super commons just in case...

I've caught 210 and have been holding some gyms for months now. I regularly have 8 or 9 - I'm saving my coins too although I'll buy a incubator if I get a 10km egg. Not sure why because I'm always disappointed in hacking rubbish 😭

Hello all!

Managed to evolve Ponyta today and am only one candy away from a Donphan.

Can't wait for the Easter event! My predictions are

Increased exeggcute
Shiny nidorans
Half-distance eggs
Pokestops dropping lucky eggs and a general increase in egg drops
