Yesterday i caught another new one- it looks like a scary green salmon when they are going through their breeding period.

Oh, and a chinchou. Remoroid evolves into octillery. How the fuck can a fish turn into an octopus?

I hatched a growlithe from a 5km egg today, which gave us precisely the right amount of candy to evolve an arcanine! I'll let dd1 do it when she gets home.

It was pissing down today. Damn niantic for these 7 day run things. If I die of pneumonia, it's on them.

Nest loacations appear to have changed here today - caught a bucketload of Onix in the park and now have plenty to evolve, just waiting for the special item to drop. Could be a while. Also new today was the Totodile and a very cute Phanpy, my new favourite pokemon.

My 10k egg hatched ... a dratini. Grrr. I have been grumbling about that a lot. It's the first 10k egg I have had in ages too.

I also saw this thing in a gym - how wrong does it look???

Still no bloody special items, not even on my seven day streak

I've only ever had one special item - on my first seven day streak after they started.

I would love a dratini. I only have 8 dratini candy.

Why is my Pokémon go plus only recognising red poke balls? It is saying no balls but I have 300 blue and yellow ones!

Go Plus only recognises reds. Means I only use blue/yellow when playing manually because the Go Plus goes through reds so quick!

I am hoping for an update where you have an option to let it use great balls if you run out of red.

You know your family have been playing too much Pokémon Go when your four year old is looking through a zoo picture book, points to an animal and says 'Rhyhorn' and it takes a third party to point out that it's not the correct name.

Did a Lucky Egg mass evolve sesh and got 54k xp and some newbies.

I hatched a Dratini which brought 19 candy with it so now up to 70.

Cool! Wow, that's quite a haul. Togetic is especially cool.

You'll never guess what just happened! I glanced at my phone and there's only a Lapras shadow nearby!! Nabbed it. First time I have seen one!! So happy, and dd1 is going to go nuts tomorrow.

I'm STILL walking that wretched kabuto, but have made it to 42 candies so nearly there.

Is anyone else still bothering to catch gen 1 mon? I've caught masses of swinub and am working up to a lucky egg evolve session.

Only got one special evolve item too, despite hitting 100s of stops.

We catch Pokémon we still need to evolve, ones we need to power up bigger ones, or ones that we still need badges for, regardless of generation.

3 special evolve items so far here. 1 one the first 7 day run, 1 randomly the day after, and 1 randomly a week after that. Subsequent 7 day runs have produced nothing. Unfortunately, all were sun stones and we need kings rocks and metal coats! Still, not complaining, we evolved a Sunflora and a Bellossom.

Thanks! Catching a wild Lapras is cooler though, other than the one I hatched I've only ever seen them in gyms.

I'm still catching Gen1 'mon too to use as cannon fodder in evolve seshes.

Has anyone on here seen an Unown yet?

Have not seen any Unown - aren't they incredibly rare? One of those ones which looks like a deer with antlers popped up as a shadow on my phone last night but it was dark and I was in my pyjamas so didn't venture out.

Pidgeys are practically impossible to catch now, they seem to just ignore my balls!

Do you think that hoot hoot's nose looks like a tiny penis, or is it just me?

My pokemon go plus has changed everything for me. Can't believe I used to wake £20-40 a month on balls i'll never spend a penny in the game again!

I hadn't even heard of unown until I read your post Psammead, so I Googled it. Bloody hell, 26 different versions with possibly more to come in Gen3.

Anyone know where I might find Duduos in London? I am almost there on Gen 1, but have only ever seen 3 Duduo (so I have 10 candies) and it is going to take me a long time to get 40 more candies just by buddying up!
Also need to evolve Omanyte (current buddy and I am pretty close) and get a few more Dratini candies for my Dragonite (I do see Dratinis sometimes and the new pineapple thing is very helpful in upping candies). So those 2 feel under control. Which just leaves the Dutrio and Hitmonlee.
