Great to see loads of newbies- except for the bastard Blisseys in gyms- I told DS how hard they are to beat and that they smile while they beat the shit out of you and he reckens they are the pokemon equivalent of Dolores Umbridge!

Can anyone explain why Blissey will dominate gyms. I managed to knock one out with Ursaring without too much problem.

I've had 2 stabs at a hoothoot, today.

First one ran off.
Second was a bloody ditto.

All week I've only really been keeping up the streaks due to working silly hours and caught the usual vermin. Until yesterday (Friday) that is. I stopped the car near work and opened the app and waited while it updated. Then, oh my fucking word, ALL THOSE SHADOWS. 7 out of 9 were shadows, the other two were Pidgeys. My phone buzzed; wow, a new one, Swinhub. It was only then that I realised Gen2 was wild.

Tomorrow I'm off hunting...

Yayy for gen2! Tgis has revitalised my love for the game. Was pretty bored before but this actually got me out again, went to the shop but did a loop of the village before returning home, these are the fruits of my labour....

MrsGway blissey have mahoosive HP which makes the pretty tough to battle. Even more than snorlax. But it can be done, so good to know about ursaring! I love using smaller innocent looking Pokemon to take down all these 3000cp beasts!

I got a metal coat from a stop this morning but it'll take eons to use it to evolve Scyther or onyx!

Do you think Gen 1 get on with Gen 2?

I don't know dame but I caught a horsea yesterday purely because it looked so forlorn and ignored.

My slowbro doesn't have an option to evolve to slow king. I've got a kings crown today so was going to evolve him but obviously can't now
I'm going to try politoad instead but. An I ask a few of you to check if yours is the same please?

Do you think Teddiursa is a nocturnal one only? I caughht one last night too after not seeing a sniff of any other all day. He has a moon on his head too and is very cute.

Also this morning have caught a Natu and Chinchou. And a Sentret, which turned into a Ditto.

I think Slowking evolves directly from Slowpoke, rather than Slowbro.

We caught a Teddiursa yesterday morning. I caught a couple of new ones put on louve module while at DS tae kwon do..Its a pokestop.

Got a kings rock today too! Happy with my slowking.

I've caught three Teddiursa this morning so probably not nocturnal. I hatched a Mantine from a 10k egg this morning which was a surprise.

Tomorrow I have five hours to kill while DS does an activity (it's too far away to come home in the middle) and I'm hoping that enough of the Ingress portals made it across as Pokestops for me to find a decent farming loop. I'm taking both battery packs and I intend walking until everything is flat.

Loving this new stuff although not a single special item and I'm ready to evolve Onix, scyther, poliwag, gloom, Horsea, slowbro and porygon.

Have been round Newcastle and Sunderland, today. Loads of new ones, not a single special item.

Have noticed differences between some of the m/f Pokémon. Male murkrows have bigger points on their hats, male woopers more complex antlers and male ledyba longer horns. Ds1 said rattata and raticate have a difference in their whiskers.

Anyone else think Gen two are a bit harder to catch? I mean, I catch them but they're more likely to break free.
