CantstandmLMs, if you're on Facebook your best bet is to look for a local Pokemon Group. The one for our local area updates the nest list as people report in.

PickAChew, got three Kabutos this morning, two next to the church (which is next to the Civic) and one near the pokestop at the pub across the road from there. Got a Magikarp and a Slowpoke at the Civic and another Magikarp near the swimming baths, so a rather good morning.

Hatched another 5k egg and got another (m)Nidoran. Bah! Got a 2k cooking now and hoping for Magikarp and candies. Got another half a k or so on the other 5k egg. Still crossing fingers for a Tangela!

Events don't usually start till much later in the day... I am waiting to find out...

Looking at our weather forecast, we'll be sheltering inside from the storm over Christmas, any Christmas event will be pretty useless for us.

Well we didn't even bother with Wharton Park, today because that wind is nasty. We stayed in the relative shelter of North road and Silver street, just running into the marketplace and back out again for a few quick spins before ducking into M&S!

Cantstand, with silph road, I tend to zoom out and move around the map in the area I'm interested in, then zoom in if anything looks promising and cross check with google maps for bus stops etc, if it's out of my way. It's reliant on reports, so some regular nests do tend to fall off the radar, sometimes.

Will be digging out thermals if we decide to pop back over to Leazes park in the morning!

And thanks for the hint about loos, Mackem - will probably pop over to M&S for sarnies before heading over, so make use of the facilities there, if they actually have any running water.

Yes, PickAChew, it was very cold this morning, so I only Pokemonned for about half an hour before doing the shopping. :) Thermals would be a very good idea for Leazes Park, I was too cold to bother, although if I get back through with the kids I might.

I'm now down to only ten needed for the Euro-dex; 5 can be evolved and I have the means to get them, eventually, and the other five or hatch or catch, so they're the difficult ones. But it feels really close now. :)

Yesterday on our way to the airport we hatched an Igglypuff. It was very cute. Dd also caught 2 dittos. Or was it 3? We haven't done much pokemoning as I am reluctant to pay for data, but if we do as much walking tomorrow as we did today I will have turn roaming charges on as poor dd is finding all this walking a bit hard. Stupid cobbled streets don't help.

Oh, and we finally have enough candy to evolve our magicarp! And Gloom, but mostly magicarp!

I hatched 2 5km eggs today about half an hour apart. One was about 850m ahead of the other. The first was a Pichu :o That pleases me immensely. The second was a Drowzee, which did not.

I'm now cooking a 10km egg a Pokestop threw at me yesterday hoping to get a Smoochum.

My last two hatches have been a Vulpix and a Zubat . Both picked up post update too!

I got 4 or 5 kabuto for me and DH. My DS got a couple less because his avatar didn't nip over the road from Costa Leazes park was indeed baltic, but we stayed for ages- need about 18 candy for a charizard now. Oh and there aren't any loos open there- I had to find some bushes for a wee Luckily there weren't many people about there- and those that were had their faces glued to their phones looking for charmanders!

My eggs were all rubbish, but DH hatched a lapras- I nearly chucked his phone in the lake in jealousy! Still I picked up 2 10ks on my way so I might get something later.

Thought I'd try out an idea,, instead of just using pidgeys and rats to grind for candy and evolves for XP, I thought I'd put them to good use first so I put a team of six raticattes in a battle and they managed take some prestige before they all died. Then five pidgeots finished off a low lapras, they get the same candy dead or alive and saved me some revives and potions for my better scrappers. Good idea?

What kind of time were you at the church / Civic, EatingMyWords? I was there at about 9am, just wondering if later in the day might be better.

One go at middayish, then again after Leazes park- about 3. Oh, and I got one at about 5 on the bus home too!

Apparently the update is to fix the vibration issue and to get the day/night modes more accurately reflecting the time. Saw a post about it elsewhere.

I am really getting disinterested in the game, we live rurally and have 4 pokestops but we were always lucky charmanders, pikachu, lapras etc. Now? Ratatta and Pidgeys and if we are lucky Mr. Mime! It is a shame as I would flick my phone on and see ones appear in sitting room, now none whatsoever. Some days I might remember just before bedtime that I haven't been on whereas before I would have walked 5km a day with it!

Pleased there's a day and night graphic adjustment. Not a big thing but it was a tiny bit odd when it showed daylight and it was pitch black outside.

Yes but they've changed it so it matches up with players own time zones a bit better. Presumably now it would show daylight at 6.30pm when it's pitch black here. It's only a minor thing.

Not much chance of charmander hunting, today 🤒

Even more annoying that we are both up to a rare 6 day streak on pokestop spinning. Might have to unlock my phone and get dh to drive ds1 to the arse end of the village to spin the stop there.
