Each I had that problem earlier. I deleted and reinstalled and that fixed it. Seems to be common glitch the past couple of weeks.

Yellow is strong in central Sunderland and occasionally takes over Gateshead and Durham. It's red we've not seen much of, since the end of the summer holidays.

As for the old sightings system, I live on a long street with nothing either side of it but fields, so there's not many places for the mon to hide - walk up one side and down the other and it's usually possible to track something down. For over a week, we had bulbasaurs appearing just around the corner on a housing development every few hours (and sticking around for a whole 45 minutes!), so I was able to detour and grab one if it was there when I did a school run. Not any more, though, because I can't see it from the main road.

Each - try a forced stop. Some people have had to uninstall and reinstall to fix that.

Problem with nearest for me is doesn't show everything near a poke stop though last night and tonight I have had things sowing from 2 or 3 stops away but I can see things spawning at my stop that don't show Confused

Our gyms mostly change hands a lot though I've been in one for weeks. The rest I take on my dog walk in the morning and by lunchtime they are red or blue!

Wasn't a Gyrados, was skinnier. Have googled and it was a dragonair.

NamelessEnsign, I am team yellow and it's hard to hold a yellow gym here too, however I've teamed up with people on a local facebook group and now go 10-15mins out of my way sometimes to join a high-level yellow gym, then my pokemon stays there for a week or so at a time.

nameless team yellow are lucky to hold a gym for 5 minutes round these parts. Blue team (my one) sometimes manage to hold one for a couple of hours or so, but the red team kick everyone out pretty much instantly. I went to a bigger town where they had gyms of all colours, and it actually felt much friendlier and more fun to battle.

I may be getting a little uninspired at the mo. Too many running away, taking a gazillion balls for even just a pidgey. I'm out of balls and nothing I need ever turns up. Didn't even have it open on the walk to bus stop last night Shock

I'm confused and annoyed by the new sightings thingie. At home, away from any stops, I still get the old type of sightings screen, but it only seems to show the pokemons that have spawned and not anything that is around unspawned. I have a weedle, spawned and on my list and just now a rattatat spawned and now it is showing in the list but only after it spawned. That's useless. We used to get some good pokemons, just outside the garden and down by the shore but we went looking for them because we knew they were somewhere close by, this is now not going to happen, and at this time of the year we won't just go wandering (and falling into the sea) just on the off chance something might be around, gah.

I'm also a little bored despite catching a hitmonchan last night. I've only got 4 left to complete the dex and two of them I'm almost there. The last two (lapras and chancey) are only from eggs as far as I know and I never ever get a 10k. I've bought incubators and emptied my whole stash only to get more 2/5 eggs. I've now got coins to get another one but am in two minds.
I don't enjoy gyms anymore and only do it for the coin. I need generation 2 to come sooner rather than later or I'll stop playing altogether.

I caught Hitmonlee last night to add to the Hitmonchan I already had. I've now caught 109.

I've lost interest since the demise of FastPokeMap. Also the way that there is regularly nothing (Pokemon,gyms or stops) when i load the game is really killing it for me. It's rubbish.

It's only worth playing for me when I'm in central London. I don't need a tracker there because I know the spawn points in the Royal Parks and can walk a loop to take them and multitudinous pokestops in. Today I will be hunting eggsecute and ryhorn in their new nests, for powering up candy. On the other hand, I am probably even less likely to find dratini (one of the few I still need lots of) without an effective nearby sighting.

At home, I don't bother beyond checking in for my daily streaks and letting the kids catch a few poke-vermin.

cartwheel ooh that's a good idea. I wonder if there are any 'Mon facebook groups near me. I live pretty far out in the sticks!

I'm in London next week for two days with work though - into Paddington then out near the British Museum overnight. Oh and the Foundling Museum. Hopefully will fill up my pokedex a bit as I'm only at 98/118 (level 24).

At this stage, I'm not finding it too difficult to catch anything, but I have gold medals for flying, normal, bug, and poison types, so I get the full catch bonus for those. And rarely see anything else!

I actually like the new sightings, but then I live in a city with lots of pokestops. I'm loosing my pokemon go mojo a bit, but that's probably because it's so cold and wandering around or hanging around battling isn't quite so fun. Bit that's not a bad thing, I reaeallly need to start focusing on christmas and not pokemon! But before I do that I'll just pop out and see if the new spawn rumours are true, whether there is a pikachu nest not that far from me!

I am still gutted about the lapras I missed. I had a quick look at my phone in the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep and there was a lapras right in my bedroom! Nearly dropped the phone in my excitement, then the effing thing disappeared because it had actually spawned then de-spawned in between the last time I looked at the game.

Gutted.
