I honestly don't know what I would do without this game.
PGP (pelvic girdle pain) has been torturing me again today and I've spent hours lying on the sofa...I'd be bored out of my mind withough HD!

(for those who don't know me I'm 8 m pg with #7, and having just moved a month ago we have been really busy and there's tons to do, but this frustrating pain stops me from being productive in RL.
so I'm very grateful to you Pacific for giving me easy entertainment! )

I've abandoned Mumsnet for HD - anyone else doing the same? This is my first visit to MN today but I have ducked in and out of HD each time I pass my iPad .... how sad is that! I'm L31 now, I think, and saving. Got my fishing boat this morning and saving for icecream maker but then discovered the net maker and it's another 42k ... yikes! Think I'll do icecream first then net. Keep buying expansion materials which isn't helping my savings! The quiche is great - fab for swapping and filling boats ... and chat! Right, back to fill my machines and then bed!

How do i join a MN quiche, I don't play through FB or GC at the moment jsust have the app on the phone?

no, don't buy diamonds.
you will be given them when you achieve things, you can find them in red boxes or you might get them in mystery packages or when spinning the fortune wheel.
and you'll get them when you get to have your mine and when fishing.

make sure you go to the settings and enable the bit that stops you from accidentally tapping on diamonds symbols in the machinery or elsewhere!
I can't remember what it's called but basically it gives you a double tapping "safety feature" so you don't waste them!

I'd happily redo all the years of sleepless nights (bf, ill kids, insomnia) as long as I have HD.
I am actually looking forward to being up at night bf!

in other news I started to notice that I want to chop down real trees or rotate them....Am I something wrong?!
Also, I saw a car today covered in a white sheet - I totally wanted to tap it to see if "jam maker, ready in 23 hrs" will appear above it.
And I want to see if tomorrow it might be tied up in a red bow.
I kid you not.

I think the best thing to do is seed and harvest crops as often as you can then make as much produce as poss and sell them asap.
you get the building & expansion materials that way quite quickly and will have the cash to buy the machinery.

It is proving very useful whilst I am housebound.

Exit I had to just use diamonds to buy a plank and screw to upgrade my silo. I don't know how else to do it.

I have already made two purchases of diamonds. I am impatient. Those fecking pies take foreeevvver.

Gosh I am only on 18! What do you do when you run out of a particular crop to sow? And then I can't make feed and my hens are prostrate?

if your barn is too full sell some stuff like milk, eggs, crops - even if at a reduced price.

go red box hunting through the daily dirt - this was a brilliant tip on first thread!
Basically go to any farm, tap on the mystery box. do not use diamonds to open, nor tap on the red cross, but tap on the area that shows the farm in the background.
This way when you go into next farm you'll find another red box! (if you tap on cross, the box will disappear for a while)

so far today my red box hunting yielded two blue tickets, a purple ticket, 5 diamonds, a duct tape, 2 bolts and 3 lots of coins!

I'm currently saving up for jam maker.

I make a point of ignoring orders that are a waste of goods - I bin them actually so that I won't complete them later by accident.
especially if the ones that clash with boat orders!

Just sow lots of wheat, it's quick and you get stuff occasionally so you can up grade your barn

and yes, buy crops from others, but be smart and keep looking until you find 10x wheat for 1 coin etc.
you can follow the farms who sell cheap stuff - really helpful if you need stuff quickly.

I follow what I call "Tools and Fools" - Tools sell bunches of building & expansion materials regularly.
Fools sell everything at bottom price (I suspect they haven't found the "adjust price" button yet.
the fools! )
I buy up their goods then either use for my boat, help out other boats or just resell for a profit!

re red box hunting - I meant tap on box, if it opens grab the stuff.

if it doesn't open do the tap on the side thing.

I know this will be a stupid question but how do you join one of the mn quiches? Do you add friends through fb or through game centre?

I only started playing recently but I am totally hooked, thanks for all the tips so far
