Calling all Hay Day Addicts!

A lurvely, new, shiny thread that won't go 'poof'!!!

just bought jeweler.

I had a lightbulb moment and used Tom to get me bunches of jewellery (cheaply) then I resold the lot at top price, with a massive profit.
made almost 9k this way on 18 necklaces!

Also got rid of most produce in my barn plus loads of crops/berries/fruit & might have to ignore tomorrow's boat, but it was worth it.
today's roadside intake was over 110k!

and with the exception of buying one single screw for 25 coins (had to! ) I spent no money on expansion & building materials and mining gear/tools at all!
yet since my lunchtime clear out I've gained 22 pieces of bits to expand barn/silo/land, and at least 15 saws/TNT etc.
(plus coins, diamonds and tickets - mainly from red boxes)

I will try to keep this going - it saves a lot of coins!

It is the same stuff in different languages but you get an instant bigger choice rather than wait for the English version to reload.

AND, corn bread is far more romantic sounding in Italian.

all the words are far more romantic sounding in Italian, even swear words!

Is there are penalty for missing a boat?

what are iron bars and refined coal used for?

a bit more bragging from me - moved up to level 40 this morning, and with Tom's help I made so much money I have just bought 5th smelter and the town thingy building!

the next thing to buy is the coffe kiosk - but I can save up for that while getting to level 42.
I need to change tactics.

If I buy tom does he still need to sleep between jobs?

Also, does any of you ever sell to the people who walk up to your farm? I usually don't as they never give as much money as you can sell the item for in your roadside shop but just wondering if I should be to gain xp maybe?

I don't use him much at all.

Zing, I gather you must still be whale seeing that your are Level fecking 40!! - your existing children must be feral and good at foraging or summat… I am very impressed and envious
Iron bars and coal are needed for when you have the train and go to your town, mainly for expansions etc. I need one further platinum bar to make my Personal Train bigger/faster - platinum, for trains, tsk.

I sell stuff to visitors if I am tight for space and they are looking for stuff I've lots of. Having said that, I have almost completely stopped selling to them since I have my town full of greedy townies. Sigh. I think I have HayDayStress.

I do sometimes wonder whether Tom's dreams indicate what may be coming up, but I forget he's there so don't look, and even if I did look, I don't remember.

I've stopped selling to visitors, rarely do boat orders and cancel ads of noticeboard orders. My towns got a capacity of 30 it's hard keeping them all going lol

Do visitors give you more points then?

The visitors get eggs and wheat but mostly a swearing at. I am still not over being fat fingered and giving Umbrella Woman 10 shovels.

Eggs and wheat only to visitors. You do get a little XP from them and I buy 1p wheat in bulk which makes them ask for it.
I have sent the last few boats away as I find it hard to do town and boat. I was doing metal bars for truck until I realised the train needed them.
A man has been waiting days in my diner for a jacket potato. I keep forgetting him.

I'm sulking. I finally gave in and hired Tom for the day in the hope he would find me building materials, but he is not giving me that choice.

I have insomnia, PGP (pelvic girdle pain) and PSD (pubis syymphasis dystonia) - so I'm in constant pain ranging from mild discomfort to crying in agony.
And morning sickness/nausea never left.
so unless absolutely necessary to do anything I'm sofa surfing.

kids are not too bad, DH does a lot, especially at the weekends, PILs and friends help with child care and school runs.

oh Exit Tom doesn't fetch the following:
nails, wood panels, screws,
bolts, planks, duct tapes
mallets, land deeds, stakes

but don't despair! use him to get shovels (most valuable when mining) and produce that take ages to make on your level.
These will be the most expensive items to buy, but if you choose to plain re-sell them you will make the highest profit!

get the biggest batch on offer ( so x 8 or 9) and either

• use them to complete truck or boat orders (boat should be priority, especially during boating event!) or
• sell them in Roadside Shop for top price.

remember that Tom takes orders every 2 hours so if you do use him max times you can profit a lot.

if must, set the alarm to remind you to use him - I missed out on one batch of choc icecreams by ten minutes (last order).
of course next boat wanted choc ice creams. grrrrrr.

What shall I buy next? I'm well into Level 34 and have yet to open the mine and buy smelter(s), fix the net machine or open my town. I like saving lots of gold coins but I do have quite a few so ought to do one of the above. Which one people?
