A couple of questions, is it worth contributing more than your personal goal to the global event, do you get extra rewards?

Also I notice the 3 quiches, the first 2 have 30 members and the third only has 9, I wonder if it's worth trying to balance them out a bit?

how do you contribute more than personal goal? will it accept 10 cakes when I need to add 1 more (to make it 29)?

Yes after you have got to your personal goal you can add more, I have currently added 30 and my goal was 29, I have a few more but don't want to add them if there is no benefit.

I'm doing an experiment.
I sold all of my expansion & building materials (plus a few bits and bobs) and bought my 3rd smelter.

I got fed up searching for ages for stuff that Tom can't get, then spending a fortune on them!
I wonder how many things I will collect from now on from harvesting, produce, red boxes, fishing - all for free.

I'll give it a week to see if I get enough things to expand barn, silo, land or fishing area.

Exit you don't need FB to join a quiche, you just need to be at level 29.

I see you bloody sold them all! I was too late. I am going bloody bog eyed trying to get the red boxes to open. And I am dreaming about Hay Day!

I have a way to go before Level 29.

How do you find people to buy from other than in the paper?

Exit you can buy from the Daily Dirt any of your friends, followers or people that have helped you recently

zing if you've got a smelter and are making bars then definitely get a jewellery maker. They sell for good amounts and sell quickly. They'll also start coming up in your orders

Really anyone playing is best to buy each machine as soon as possible

Exit At the top of your shop in each corner you will see one of your friends. Click and it takes you to their shop. Click again to get to the next one and so on. So the more people you friend on GC the more shops you can visit.
If you visit a farm through an ad in the DD you can click a little flag at the top to follow it. They are added to your friend list. You can do this for 4 or 5 people.
Also look at the bottom right People who have helped you. These are people who have visited your farm recently and you can get to them by clicking.

just roadside shop or truck/boat orders?

You sell it either in your shop or you'll get orders on the board for it
its never asked for in a boat though

If you can't find what you are looking for in the Daily Dirt, go to the very top left corner and click on the little wheel and you will see a box for different languages. (the English/ American flag)
I have found that Portuguese is excellent for finding planks, duct tape, Italian seems to have a better range than the usual wheat, wool and eggs and Turkish or Indonesian for saws, axes.

I had broken my addiction and deleted it from my iPad. But after seeing this thread have put it back on iPad and an now even more addicted.

Currently saving to repair the mine. Back to selling everything I own

I would like friends, play on FB not GC (not sure how to get on GC to be honest)
