Has anybody got any experience of this?
I’ve looked into it allot and it’s something I’m switching to.
I love every part of the idea of it. I love how natural it is. I love how simple it is. I love how environmentally friendly it is. I love what I’ve read and watched that it does for your body and I love how people have said it makes them feel from the inside out.
I was just hoping to hear from anybody with personal experience of this way of living.
Thanks!

@SolitaryTree I'm pleased that you have taken on board the sensible advice on here. A vegan diet can be nutritious and balanced - make sure you take vitamin B12 supplements if you aren't eating foods fortified with it as it is the only nutrient not found in a vegan diet, and there is no need to go to the extreme of following a fruitarian diet.

I'm not sure that your bowels will thank you either.

Once a year I’ll do a bit of “cleanse” which is raw fruit and veg for a few days but def heavy on the veg, I guess similar to when people do juice cleanses except not as hungry and you get all the fiber and other goodness that juicing gets rid of. Maybe just do that and slowly reincorporate other vegan items? Wouldn’t do it as a lifestyle change but it does feel good to give your body a bit of break for a couple of days

@CloseYourEyesAndSee

Freelee is no longer vegan.

Really?? Where did you read that?

She is still vegan and still around selling her books, she's living in the jungle/rain forest growing her own fruit forest. Her other channel is the frugivore diet.

Have fun dying I suppose

Came on to say this is orthorexia with a label
I think with any history of disordered eating you should avoid at all costs

@Mybalconyiscracking

Go and eat a bacon sandwich, then see how you feel?
Mybalconyiscracking NOT an appropriate response on a VEGAN forum - why are you even here?!

OP, I would not recommend a strictly fruit only diet to anyone. You would quickly become deficient in many vitamins and nutrients. Those who claim to feel super healthy and full of energy as a fruitarian are not being truthful. I could not imagine living off only fruit, I would be so sick of it, especially in the UK where the native fruit here would not provide your body with everything it needs. Even if you did eat only fruit, you would need access to tropical and unusual fruits from many different countries to even get close to nourishing your body properly - which would be much less environmentally friendly and healthy than sourcing vegan locally grown produce in the UK.

Humans can live very happily and healthily on a vegan diet, even if you choose strictly wholefoods and non of the processed stuff, with a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, grains, pulses, beans, etc. with of course supplements such as B12.

Life is too short. You can care for the animals, the environment, your health and that of other people's without restricting yourself so much :)
