Just looking at prices for a Glasgow hotel. I'll be visiting my dd who's at uni there. There appears to be a surcharge added for single occupancy rooms. We're talking about a difference between £169 for a room (for 2 people) versus £203 for a room for one person.
That's a massive hike. The single occupancy includes breakfast but the double occupancy only gives it an option. There appears to be no possibility of single occupancy without breakfast.
I'd be treating my daughter to breakfast outside of the hotel so won't want it anyway.
What's to stop me booking a double occupancy room at the cheaper price and just me turning up?
