Probably asking for the impossible- upmarket holiday park in UK for summer?

I realise that I am probably asking for the impossible but could anyone direct me in the way of a Uk holiday park for July that has the following but isn't Center Parcs? (Gojng their in oct)

  • luxury style (4/5*)
  • lots on site for a 3 year old
-good swimming pool -evening entertainment for kids -isn't full of those just wanting to get drunk and not look after their kids/look after their environment

I know this makes me sound like a snob but the idea of butlins accommodation makes me shudder although I know entertainment wise it has all for a toddler. So I guess I'm looking for Center Parcs level clientele/accom but with more entertainment.

Thanks in advance!!

Ribby Hall in Lancashire.

It is very similar to centre parcs though, so those would be two very similar holidays. What about Centre Parcs in Europe as an alternative or one of the Landal parcs? Not sure on evening entertainment though.

Sandy Balls in the New Forest is lovely!

Crieff hydro could work?! They have babysitting, activities even a cinema - but also a spa and are luxury.

Not a holiday park, but Bedruthan Steps hotel provides a lot of this. Used to love it when ours where small.

miniworry · 13/03/2023 15:50

I'll have a look at all these thanks so much!

Sandy balls makes me chuckle 😂😆

Bedruthan does not provide anything at all for children now.
Avoid!

Kelling Heath , Norfolk - try the private owners .

ditismooi · 14/03/2023 22:08

should say the entertainment is pretty low key - think Punch and Judy , playgrounds , the swimming pool is a health club , the outdoor one is fine .

Bluestone is lovely. Not so much entertainment in the eves as somewhere like a Butlins, but enough to occupy you. Lots of places to go for trips out nearby too.

Not 'upmarket' at all but we went to a Parkdean site last summer (term time) with our two little ones and had a lovely time and it was cheap. Children were just turned 4 and a baby. The site was pretty quiet and there was plenty to keep the kids busy. It was the site in North Wales I've forgot the name now.

miniworry · 14/03/2023 22:42

Thanks everyone for your recommendations! I still don't think I've found one that I think is the 'one' yet as I like the look off one then read the tripadvisor and it just puts me off!

Center parcs is great we go a couple of times a year. My family own a place on the warren in abersoch have a look there if you are wanting more upmarket. My 2 yo loves it.

Thea91 · 14/03/2023 22:47

Although just seen your looking for evening entertainment which they don't do as such . Lots about though

Chesil Beach holiday Park is nice. Admittedly its been a long time since we went there but it still looks fabulous. Nice area of the country as well 😀

Ribby hall is very similar to CP. We have done both numerous times.

Ribby is smaller, no need for biking around, the accommodation is nicer and there is more for preschoolers to do.
Also has evening entertainment which CP seems to lack.
The pool isn't a big at Ribby but it's more than adequate for young children.

miniworry · 14/03/2023 22:52

We would quite like it to be near a beach ideally hence the no CP thing as we are doing CP in October.

Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park have fantastic lodges with hot tubs, it feels very exclusive as they are so well spaced out and the park itself is beautiful with sweeping views over Woolacombe Bay - the lodges have an outdoor shower and you get spa use included as well as surf board and wetsuit hire! Have had many wonderful hols there and highly recommend :-)

St Anne's on Sea is about twenty minute/half an hour from Ribby Hall.

Beautiful beaches and a lovely area too if you fancy a stroll around.

Bluestone, Pembrokeshire is fantastic.

evemillbank · 14/03/2023 23:07

Bluestone is lovely but there is no evening entertainment at all!

evemillbank · 14/03/2023 23:12

Someone else has suggested Chesil beach. The company has four sites. I was going to suggest Bowleaze Cove which is another of its parks. Im also on the Center parcs/bluestone/ nice holiday park merry go round with 2 young children Smile. We go abroad once a year and then the other breaks are this type.

Auchrannie is great on Arran. Far better than Crieff Hydro we found. (We love Scotland holidays)
