Probably asking for the impossible- upmarket holiday park in UK for summer?

I realise that I am probably asking for the impossible but could anyone direct me in the way of a Uk holiday park for July that has the following but isn't Center Parcs? (Gojng their in oct)

  • luxury style (4/5*)
  • lots on site for a 3 year old
-good swimming pool -evening entertainment for kids -isn't full of those just wanting to get drunk and not look after their kids/look after their environment

I know this makes me sound like a snob but the idea of butlins accommodation makes me shudder although I know entertainment wise it has all for a toddler. So I guess I'm looking for Center Parcs level clientele/accom but with more entertainment.

Thanks in advance!!

When we went to Bedruthan steps a few years ago it would have fitted this brief perfectly . Our 3 year old loves the evening entertainment of rise on vehicles party games, magician etc there was indoor soft play , playground , lovely pool. Have they really stopped all this?

Bluestone is lovely but there is no evening entertainment at all!

I guess it depends what you mean by entertainment.

I took my DC when they were about 4 and we went to a campfire with family entertainment and there were activities to do with kids in the centre/on the lawn outside. There wasn't anything remotely set up of a more adult nature but tbh I think the majority of people going to Bluestone have kids under 10. The place is pretty quiet by 8pm.

In the daytime there was lots of different activities that you could book yourself on.

@PizzaPastaWine having gone to other similar places they want at the very least a kids disco. Even Center parcs does that! Smile they like the campfire with the marshmallows etc in Camp Smoky but my kids love to boogie.

evemillbank · 15/03/2023 00:11

And they are only 5

miniworry · 15/03/2023 07:31

Yes definitely want some form of entertainment (even if it's not for the adults!) as little one looks a boogie too!

I’ve just checked the website and it seems like the previous poster is correct - evening entertainment for kids is not mentioned, neither are the kids clubs and teas. Mine also loved the evening disco and animals visit etc for many years.

@olympicsrock Yes, unfortunately so.
Their business is to aim at the ‘teen’ market. I’ve exchanged many emails with the MD in conjunction with The Scarlet over the last 18mths.

Another vote for woolacombe bay. We stayed at Twitchen House Park, it has a row of new (all in last 2 years) caravans with hot tubs, we absolutely loved it... it has lovely pools and can use the other sites pools as well, and evening entertainment

miniworry · 16/03/2023 20:16

@sthitch how does the twitchen bay compare to the actual woolacombe bay site? I was looking at these two places today actually!

Look at Away resorts!thinks there are sound five or six of them around the UK. We went to The Bay in Yorkshire.

sthitch · 16/03/2023 23:03

We've only stayed at Twitchen House, but we've used the facilities at both. I'd say Woolacome Bay is bigger, the pool is more modern/there's a nice decking area where you can eat outside with nice views over the bay, but Twitchen house is also very nice, it has a cinema, a nice indoor and outdoor pool, arcade, bar/entertainment area. I think they are similar in terms of accommodation offerings but woolacombe is slightly bigger (or seems it!). They are just well kept and invested in year on year, so not looking run down.

Cofton in Dawlish. Nice park, low key entertainment. Direct access to beach via a wooded walk. We liked it there

Newtrix · 01/04/2023 17:44

How about Cayton Bay on the Yorkshire Coast? Right opposite the beach and Parkdean have spent millions updating it, the lodges are beautiful and the Levisham ones have hot tubs.

lancslass17 · 19/04/2023 16:52

Not a holiday park how about st Anne's.

St Ives has a pool, it's on the seaside lots of bits for little ones , blackpool up the road

Lordofmyflies · 22/04/2023 19:19

Retallack resort and spa, Cornwall? It has plenty of playgrounds, lake, pools, restaurant and bar. Not sure about evening entertainment though.

HotelNotPortofino · 22/04/2023 19:29

Gwel An Mor has everything you asked for, except evening entertainment.

Ella19902 · 23/04/2023 15:43

Ive stayed in the Loveat holiday park called Greenhill in the new forest before. It is lovely and only a short drive from Peppa Pig world :-)

www.hoburne.com/holiday-parks/our-accommodation/hot-tubs/

These have on site things for children and based near beaches. Naish overlooks the sea.

mysparkleismissing · 26/04/2023 21:35

Potters in Norfolk is meant to be good

Justmemyselfandi999 · 26/04/2023 21:36

Ladram Bay is lovely, on a private beach in Devon. Ticks lots of your criteria

Butterflyball · 26/04/2023 21:40

Whitemead forest park in the Forest of Dean

FidgetWonkham · 26/04/2023 21:42

Hendra in Newquay is great for little ones.
They have new caravans on site every year and it’s a really clean and well kept.

Moppity · 31/05/2023 12:34

Not a holiday park, but Sands resort in Cornwall has what you're looking for

mummy1202 · 17/02/2024 23:03

I know this is an older thread but please tell me….

@miniworry did you find one?!

I’m on the lookout for the same thing!

Thank you x
