Luxury sea view hotel with pool- south coast

Looking for a luxury sea view hotel on the South Coast, with pool, to celebrate a family birthday. Any ideas? Most hotels I’ve looked at are a bit dated, or have no pool, or get average trip advisor ratings. We need 5 rooms for 11 people. Ideally looking in Poole area, or similar ie. not as far as Devon/Cornwall or too far into East Sussex. Thanks.

Think I may be a bit out of touch but I was thinking £400 or £500 per night per room not £900. We might have to ditch the pool. Thanks for all the suggestions.

But that first one linked to that you said was too expensive had double rooms for £245 per night? I’m so confused as to what you’re looking for now!

Great suggestions everyone. I've been looking for a luxury hotel for a few days as well so have noted them all!

We keep getting emails from the Beachcroft in West Sussex. Looks lovely but not been there.

I know it’s too far, but for anyone else looking for similar but willing to go to Devon, definitely Saunton Sands www.sauntonsands.co.uk

newmum1976 · 24/07/2022 14:13

Thanks, I’ll take another look as £250 would be fine but the dates I put in were £900 per night.

We’ve been here and it’s very good. Just too far for us all to travel to,

If you can change your mind and get as far as Devon, the Harbour Beach Club near Salcombe is excellent.

If the length of the journey is what puts you off then you could fly to Newquay and stay at the Scarlet

Look lovely. Forgot to say we have kids coming with us, so this won’t work.

The Haven is nice - pool / spa / beach - brilliant restaurants nearby on Studland.

OldGreyAppleFence · 24/07/2022 14:40

Sidmouth harbour hotel is nice

PaniDomu · 24/07/2022 14:42

The Cumberland in Bournemouth is nice. Not five star, but nice enough and has a good restaurant and nice outdoor pool.

Palamon · 24/07/2022 14:46

Chewton Glen? No sea view but it’s a very short walk to the beach and it has a nice outdoor (and indoor) pool.

Snowcloud92 · 24/07/2022 14:47

If you dont mind going to north devon for it, Saunton Sands hotel is pretty awesome. Pool and its right by the beach. they also do apts

ShaunaTheSheep · 24/07/2022 14:47

Royal Hotel at Ventnor on the Isle of Wight is really lovely, has a pool and sea views.

Harbour Hotel, Sidmouth would fit the bill. Breakfast on the terrace is fab.

Skoolsout · 24/07/2022 23:17

Sorry I read your thread wrong, I realise you don’t want to go as far as Devon.

TheBestBitch · 25/07/2022 19:30

Sandbanks hotel is a bit crappy, great location right on the beach but very 3 star

Have you considered Wales? This has a sea view and pool but isn’t terribly luxurious

What about The Pig at Studland?
