Cheddar area

Hi

We’ve just booked a break for a week in the Easter holidays at a Hoseasons resort near Cheddar. Two adults, a 5yo and a 10yo. There’s lots to do on-site, but we love to get out and see sights.

Can anyone tell me what’s worth doing in the area? Obviously we will have a look at Cheddar Gorge, but any particular thing to do there? I’ve seen the Wooky Hole Caves advertised, are they worth it? We also have a National Trust membership, so are any of those worth it on the area?

Thanks!

Clevedon has a great cinema

What about the ice cream farm....memory fail

Marshfield..depending on your route to/from might be nice place to stop.

Brean sands are fine! The beach is fantastic -huge and clean- as is the pool which is very modern with various slides.

The amusement arcades and fair are very tacky but my kids loved.

If it’s warm - there’s a lovely marine pool at Clevedon

Just incase you wanted to eat out at all I highly recommend Brent House (Brent knoll, so you can incorporate it in with a walk up Brent knoll) and/or Rich's cider farm in Watchfield (Highbridge)

Recommend booking with those two though.

Haynes Motor Museum
Fleet Air Arm museum
Bothare in the Yeovil/YYeovilton area

Planet Ice is a new ice rink next to Cribbs Causeway. I've not been there but I've heard it's good.

To be fair, we got married in April and it was gorgeous sunny, warm weather, so you never know…

@MrsMoastyToasty

Haynes Motor Museum is our must-do. We’re big F1 fans!
