Nice areas or nice dog friendly cottages/accommodation to look at in UK either thinking either Scotland, Northumberland or possibly Wales or Yorkshire please.

Simple tastes, nice walks from door step, beach, pub with good food with outdoor seating, shop and bakery. A few places to visit during stay 20 mins to an hour away.

Cottage must have 3 to 4 beds (either 1 ks, sk or zip link beds plus two single beds without footboards as travelling with two tall teens).

Thanks all still looking. Any other coastal suggestions in Scotland, Wales, Yorkshire or Northumberland with late August availability.

Want accommodation somewhere quietish (2 or 3 bedrooms) with a king or superking and two twin beds and space for us to relax downstairs (prefer hard flooring which can be washed as find it cleaner with dogs) and other dogs staying in the property, nice walks on the doorstep to walk the dog and for us all to spend plenty of time outdoors. Would also like at least one nice pub or nice restaurant with outdoor seating within close walking strolling distance (so we don’t spend every night by the TV, maybe a nice village store or bakers also within walking distance. Local paddleboarding a bonus or within a short drive.

Little villages or small towns nearby to visit for a change of scenery within 20-60 mins driving distance.

We've booked Barend Log Cabins. It's a five minute walk from beach, and dog friendly. I'm not aware of a bakery though.

@SirVixofVixHall

I live in Wales and yes, it is really wet ! OP can I ask you nicely, if you do come to Wales, please don’t stay in a holiday cottage that would otherwise be a home. Our welsh communities here are being utterly destroyed, and homelessness is rising rapidly. There are alternatives even though it means a bit more hunting around. Barns on farms, camping, Landmark trust properties and various other options.
Same for Cornwall as well, the press was full last year of people being evicted so that their landlords could sell the house/ cottage to turn it into a holiday let or Airbnb.
