I am looking for somewhere for a special birthday and had my eye on this hotel. I have also looked at the Gilpin, but the prices are eye watering. For essentially a day and a half (two day booking) I can't justify the price. Another Place has very mixed reviews, and I really want this trip to be memorable.
Has anyone been there? Any recommendations for dinner near either hotel in case we don't eat in the restaurants? The restaurant in Another Place doesn't get rave reviews.
I am looking for somewhere with great customer service, great food, a really relaxing vibe, lovely scenery. Not keen on heavy swags, piped music and snooty staff so avoiding creaky country house vibe. Any other suggestions welcome.
