Ok just seen advert on TV for Ribby Hall Village near Blackpool. Never heard of it myself but anyone been? Any comments? TIA

I do think it is a council bugger up, they certinaly do ont seem to ahve done the ground work that Manchester has done.

People were invited to give their views, there were mailings and some stuff in thew gazette but due to people's negativity about living in Blackpool and ourtransient population, and probably the high number of people living here with very poor literacy skills it never really took off.

But you are right about the eggs in one basket, I would love to see us return to a family town, for example dp and I love taking dd to Edinburgh for the science exhibition, I woudl love something like that for our kids here or something like Eureka.

I am quite passionate about Blackpool's regeneration, dp and I ahve both turned down job offers out of town as we are keen to stay here and be part of Blackpool's rising from the ashes, starting to wonder how long we will have to wait.

No it wasn't me, am involoved in local politics in a back stage kind of way rather than being on the council although my time will come. I teach.

Today was only a recomendation, not a final decision.

Yes, it's fab! The old school was lovely and it was so upsetting what happened but it looks amazing now.

So, it's just a recommendation? We can expect lots more coverage in the Gazette then? Even if we don't get the casino can we still have the 100ft donkey??! Please could you put a word in at the next meeting!!

WEahve a few teachers at school from Manchester who threatened to pin a copy of the Manchester Evening News to our notice boardbut I warned them that they may not leave the builfing alive!

Oh blinking heck! Well, we shall see, but I still think we need to crack on and address the Blackpool we have. I love the place, always have, but I felt dirty walking down the prom with my daughter recently - literally and rhetorically speaking - it needs sorting quick. I must go to bed, but been lovely talking to a fellow Blackpooly-ite!!
