Being sick everyday for 4 weeks

As the title says. Ive been sick everyday for the last 4 weeks, usually just a little. This time it was quite a bit. Not sure why I was sick as not eaten nice lunch time. I have a doctor's appointment on the 19th for something else. Do I wait till then and talk about it adding to a list of things I have to talk to them about or call 111 in the morning? I'm not pregnant. Pregnancy tests are negative so not sure why I'm being sick. Dont usually get stomach pains with the sickness and nausea but tonight I'm in a fair bit of pain right in the centre of my stomach.

All theyve done are blood tests. Not done a scan, had camera down my throat on July 20th for something else

Why are posters so adamant she should call an ambulance, rush back to A&E, demand a scan (of what?!) etc.?

• she's vomiting 'coffee grounds', which is a danger sign for a possible burst ulcer.

What year did you finish your medical training @Restlessdreams1994 ?

A&E have not excluded major conditions, as they haven't done any tests other than bloods.

I hope they take you seriously this time ?

My mil had the coffee grounds for a few days. Ambulance called was a bleeding ulcer. She survived.

My neighbour wasn't as lucky had the coffee grounds saw the GP prescribed omeprazole. That night he had terrible stomach pains rushed to the loo vomiting blood. The ambulance was fast but he was dead before they got there. Left his widow and two year old twins.

So do I, I'm really struggling with the pain, not eaten since thursday and barely managing to sip water

As you have no-one to advocate for you, would it help to make notes on what you need to say, on phone perhaps, possibly some points from this thread?

Can you link the pain you are experiencing to something they might be able to relate to?

I lurk on an eating disorder thread, obviously that's not your problem, but I've learned from there that lack of calories since Thursday should be a red flag to health care professionals.

The only people that could have work so can't take time off to help. One of them helped last night though but wasn't in waiting with me

Have you lost any weight? Your symptoms could be due to gastritis but that could be a red herring. I don't think i've read an endoscopy report that doesn't mention gastritis. In your position I'd be keen to have a CT scan.

Do you have an upset stomach?

I have a severe gluten intolerance and a mild dairy intolerance which came on out of the blue after menopause.

I also felt sick daily when I had endometriosis that was on my bowel (I'm not very lucky with my innards!)

Could also be a gall bladder issue possibly?

I think it's so hard to push for yourself when you are in such pain, which is why I wondered if notes on your phone might help.

You're vomiting what could be blood, you're pooing foamy liquid, you're in pain and you feel dizzy. The very least I would expect would be abdominal xray, they are always open and yes, scans can be done at weekends. Personally I would call 111 again who should send an ambulance, a blood test won't diagnose what's going on and persistent vomiting really harms gastritis and a hiatus hernia.

They've not done anything to test my gallbladder

If you get to hospital and get fobbed off I would ring their switchboard and ask to be put through to the critical care outreach team, a nurse will answer and they often take things more seriously, you are entitled to a second opinion.

I'm awaiting more blood tests results hopefully they'll do a scan this time

We often underestimate the willingness of people to help us. Try not to decide on other people's behalf that they wouldn't want to help. If someone reached out to you, a neighbour you don't know well, or a friend you haven't seen for ages, with "I'm having a frightening and painful medical problem and I'm struggling to advocate for myself. Would you mind coming with me when I go back to A&E?", would you say no? I doubt it. They don't need to be there all day.

They could also contact your local PALS service at the hospital for you if you asked them. So it would only be a bridge

You really should request an abdominal scan please don't be fobbed off it can be really difficult. Severe vomiting can worsen hernia and cause it to become strangulated so one thing could have caused another

From experience, it might make a difference if you are vomiting partially digested food, or regurgitating undigested food. The latter suggests it's not even getting to your stomach, which may shift focus if it applies.
