Being sick everyday for 4 weeks

As the title says. Ive been sick everyday for the last 4 weeks, usually just a little. This time it was quite a bit. Not sure why I was sick as not eaten nice lunch time. I have a doctor's appointment on the 19th for something else. Do I wait till then and talk about it adding to a list of things I have to talk to them about or call 111 in the morning? I'm not pregnant. Pregnancy tests are negative so not sure why I'm being sick. Dont usually get stomach pains with the sickness and nausea but tonight I'm in a fair bit of pain right in the centre of my stomach.

Thats what they told me at the start, then when i asked about it this morning they said they've improved

And…. Did you ask how??

OP you need to start taking a little more ownership over your own health

Neuronimo · 22/08/2026 15:53

Glad you are going home Inkgirl. Hope everything improves soon.

All very strange

but key is.. you are not vomiting and not in pain
so go home and enjoy the rest of the weekend

Well I'm not vomiting, still feel sick and the pain in no where near as bad as it was and apparently I look a lot better than I did as well

When i asked the first time about my blood test results they told me it all looks normal. So didnt really question it, this morning they were like oh your blood test results look better. So something must have been there that they weren't telling me. I'm home now so now is a case of keeping on top of the meds they gave me and if it happens again ask for more tests

Yes and you should have enquired “better? Was there an issue with the bloods?”

You're right I should have done, at that point I just wanted to get home

So the diagnosis is… gastritis and that it will clear up of its own accord? The meds are to alleviate symptoms if they crop up?

itsgettingweird · 22/08/2026 16:23

The results should go into the nhs app.

So I would have a look and then book an apt with your GP for a long term plan.

I had a look and they aren't in there only the tests the gp ordered

The GO should get them. Make an apt.

When my son was in at the beginning do the year (same hospital I think?) his GO got his CT scan and he put them on his records for him.

Then contacted his consultant who saw him.

Ohh, I'll phone the doctors monday and see what they say and see if I need any other testing

As of now though, you’re home and feel absolutely fine?

LIZS · 22/08/2026 20:22

Do you not have access to your discharge summary? Either a copy they gave you or on the nhs or hospital app? GP might take a few days to upload it.

What diagnosis does it give on your discharge letter

But likely will be
you been sick for… all the days at hospital? Certainly not mentioned feeling or being sick since andmission. And now home, within a couple of hours, feeling sick. It’ll be you adjusting.

I was being sick more than half the days I was in hospital, stopped being sick thursday still felt sick. Didn't know I had to mention here every time I was being sick or felt sick.
