Has the heat made anyone vomit?

I’m on the verge and not sure if it’s being in a 32 deg room all night or I have a bug.

My heads banging too!

Yes it's brought on a migraine which has caused me to vomit.

Rainallnight · Yesterday 07:16

It could be heatstroke. Look up NHS advice asap

Dolphinnoises · Yesterday 07:17

I drank loads of water yesterday and mostly stayed in. Terrible headache today regardless.

Devilsmommy · Yesterday 07:19

Yep, felt awful and projectile vomited everywhere. Cleaning it up was a nightmare 😭

Clickrodio · Yesterday 07:20

Yep rather pregnant and spent some time last just vomiting as I was far too hot

CarolinaLeah · Yesterday 07:23

I’m so annoyed as I also stayed in yesterday apart from the school run, drank LOADS of water and kept a fan on me all day.

Sorry to hear this is a thing and hope everyone feels better soon.

I am dreading the school run and work today…

Check the nhs advice on heatstroke, it can be serious. Also consider whether you really have to be in work today - if the heat is affecting you so badly, could you call in sick?

Goldengirl123 · Yesterday 07:47

No but all I want to do is sit in front of a fan

Make sure you have salt and sugar too,not just water. You might need a rehydration sachet. Or flat fizzy drink and a packet of peanuts or crisps.

CarolinaLeah · Yesterday 08:25

@WeddingInvitationnever thought of that thank you.

My role is to do with SW for the LA I struggle to call in sick as I know I’m letting others down!

Salt depletion, low sodium causes an absolutely awful headache.

Get that salt in.

Heat stroke is always an emergency - but symptoms are cognitive changes/reduced consciousness or seizures. It's when the temperature control system has broken and cannot function. You will NOT be functioning. This is a 999 situation.

Heat exhaustion is the early warning - symptoms of nausea and vomiting but you are still sweating/functioning but tired (thus the exhaustion) . Stop moving, get somewhere cool, cool shower, feet in cold water, cold drinks etc.

I had a migraine last week as the heat was building and ended up vomiting on Sunday but since the heat has been worse this week I’ve been okay.
Hope you feel better with some water and rest

Agree. I ate some crisps and a few sweets yesterday as well as drinking loads.

Sprite is very good for helping with rehydration - the regular one, not sugar free. I was given that tip by a holiday rep in Greece once.

Thanks for that tip about the salt. Found some crisps in the cupboard. For the first time in my life I don’t feel like them at all but if there’s a chance they’ll help with this headache, away we go…

If you dont want to have salty things then coconut water or coconut milk is good for the electrolytes; not the artificial sweetened stuff, theres one called Plenish that is lush
