Hi all, have done some strength training from home caroline girvan mainly and bits I've found I'm instagram with dumbbells.
I've joined a gym and looking for a structured gym plan I can follow, perhaps in a pdf?! Does anyone know of one that can be purchased? I can't quite stretch to a PT atm!
Thanks

Shona Vertue had a gym based plan. I've only ever used her home ones, but she is excellent.

See what AI comes up with.

Your gym should give you a plan as part of your induction

Ask chat gpt. Plug in your height, weight, what you’re trying to achieve, what weights and machines you have access to etc and it will give you a plan.

Stronger by the day is good I believe.

AI will give you stuff that looks plausible to someone who isn't an expert but it doesn't actually know what it's doing. That's what AI does.

Thinner leaner stronger is a great programme, there's a book along with plans and workout sheets which make it easy to follow

I agree about chatGPT- it looks plausible but it suggested a really unbalanced biceps programme to me.

I've heard stronger by the day is good too, with people using before the barbell to get going.

I use Stronger By the Day when I'm away on work trips so don't have my regular PT sessions (or when he's on holidays). It costs, but only about $US100 per year, and you can try it for a 7 day trial for free. MegSquats is on YouTube and Instagram, with a lot of instructional videoes.

Rachel Henley on Instagram @ Henleyfitness is fun and knows what she's talking about - there's a free programme & a paid programme. She focuses on getting beginners feeling confident in the gym, and she's also hilarious (there's a lot of swearing as well ...)

These are both barbell based programmes which focus on a weekly programming of the main compound lifts (Squat, deadlift, bench) plus accessories (overhead presses, hip thrusts, RDLs, split squats, bicep curls etc etc)

MindPump programs are great.
