Hey,
I'm just looking for advice on the workouts below, I’m hoping someone can help 🤞
Are these okay? I was doing 2 x full body a week but need to shorted them a bit so have upped to four days 2 upper and 2 lower is this right? If their wrong advice on how I can change them would be greatly appreciated!!

Also am I better working through all three sets of one exercise before moving onto the next or do I work through the list then start it again?

thankyou!!

If you are doing all lower body in one session you need to work through the list, the idea of a rest between sets is just that.

However, if you are short on time why not mix upper/lower body on some days?

So do 3x sets of lunges in between 3x sets of bicep curls.

Sorry hit post too soon!

Split your workouts into the following groups:

  1. biceps/triceps
  2. shoulders
  3. back/lats
  4. legs

mix up 2 "groups" each day.

You also have no core work so I'd add a fifth group covering that.

Also no HIIT or cardio (ie anything that gets your HR up) - do you do that on separate days?

If not, you can add a treadmill run or rowing machine session on the end on some days too.

I'd also think about swapping the squats and deadlifts using dumbbells to ones using a barbell.

These require use of more muscle groups such as your core - they are classed as "compound" movements.

Brilliant Thankyou very much :)

I'd always start with my main compound lift, squat, bench, deadlift. Are you new to lifting? Why the decline bench press and not a normal one? Other than that looks good :)

Thanks for the reply!!

yes fairly new, worked with an online coach who got me into it, but only one of her workouts a week were weights & now I’m not working with her I want to carry it on & start doing more.

it was meant to be a normal bench press, must have clicked the wrong one 🙈 gonna add in a few core exercises as above advice has suggested!!

I'd consider having a look at the book, Thinner, leaner, Stronger. It is a very simple introduction to a weights program. there are 2 books. 1 is a how to, the other is a years program.

What @PrincessPeach100 said, I've got that book too Smile

Re your question about doing one exercise at a time or going through them there are approaches that do both. It can be useful to superset things together but you have to know what you're doing. You can the target particular muscles by fatiguing others first. I do lots of supersets but it's programmed by a PT. So if you're new to it I'd go through one at a time, but I wanted to just add that in case in the future you want up consider super sets.
