How will my measurements likely change.....

Just need to manage my expectations....

Started C25K 3 months ago .... been running (slowly - but making improvements) full 5Km x 3 times a week for over a month now and will continue.

Have over hauled my diet (16:8, LC, HF, HP) and lost nearly 2 stone - still 2 to go - BMI down from 33 to 29 so out of obese now just ovwe weight.

Started with a PT twice a week this week doing resistance and weights.

My body measurements are:

W 93, H 11, Th 63, Arm 35

Realistically where can I move these numbers to on this programme and how long will it take? Should I replace the running with more weight training to reduce my size (dont care what the scales say)

In 2012 I weighed 17st 4 BMI 35
Waist 42 inches
Hip 53 inches

In 2016 I weighed 15st 4 BMI 30.8
Waist 40.5 inches
Hip 49 inches
Thigh 27.5 inches
Arm 15.5 inches

In 2016 I started exercising seriously - mainly resistance and weights.

Now I weigh 12 stone BMI 24.2
Waist 33.5 inches
Hip 41 inches
Thigh 24.5 inches
Arm 13.5 inches

As for how long - 2016 was towards the end of 2016. I hit current measurements for arm and leg August 2017, with waist and hip about an inch bigger at that time. They came down to current levels around March 2018.

Regime was essentially resistance training 4 times a week and HIIT cardio (boxing mostly) a couple of times a week.

My diet was and remains essentially your approach. I still want to lose some body fat and build muscle so I am eating at a very slight calorie deficit and my resistance training is now 4 heavier days and 2 light days a week with cardio once a week.

Hiring a PT was what got me into fitness and I now love it. Hope you can find ways to enjoy the process.

Thanks @Spodge that’s v inspiring - and big congratulations to you - looks like it was relatively rapid to move the measurements - and I can see that you upped the resistance and reduced the cardio over time. Really impressed with your BMI number.

I am just getting into the rhythm of cardio and weights and better diet......so will see how it goes.
