Have had a traumatic couple of years a d still looking for answers 😔

Are you a student of the arts or have you recently gone back into education? I have cards here that show you to be an avid learner of some sort just starting on a new path. The Queen of swords and the seven of cups seem to be saying that you need to make a decision shortly about something important -if you are a procrastinator or generally prone to indecision, the Queen is telling you that you can't prevaricate forever; the opportunity will pass you by if you don't make a choice soon. The seven of cups tells us that there are no bad choices, just different ones, and if you apply logic rather than emotion, you'll be fine.
In your future I have another choice to be made -this time to do with a relationship. It looks as though someone might pull the rug out from under you emotionally speaking -The Lovers and the Tower together are never a great combination as they speak of emotional explosions and upheavals often coming out of the blue. The Tower can sometimes represent loss of face and embarrasment as well, so there is a definite message to prepare for a surprise.

There's a lot of activity in your spread -it looks as though you are constantly having to balance bouts of frenzied activity with down time to restore your own equilibrium. Has there been a communication recently which has been unsettling? There's a lot of people represented in your cards. A lot of clashes between people but nothing that can't be smoothed over as long as they are not encouraged to indulge their propensity for arguments. There's someone here who has caused trouble recently -he's a know it all sort, rushing in insisting that 'his way' of doing things is always right. Maybe he (or she, but I think He) has butted in recently telling you that your plans for something aren't the best? He can be safely ignored. The two of wands indicate that whatever project you have recently started on has a great foundation and doesn't need changing. It doesn't matter how long it takes to get going – you are on the right path.
The Queen of cups and the queen of swords are central to your spread, and if these aren't representing actual people, then it would seem that you are currently in the middle of a 'head versus heart' conundrum. There are some unsettling cards in your spread. I have the eight of swords and Strength as your recent past -which shows that perhaps you have stayed in a situation that you would have been better breaking free from, or that perhaps someone is effectively keeping you 'captive' against your will. Past cards show a widow, or someone recently divorced or separated. This looks to have come somewhat out of the blue, which makes me wonder whether there has been the loss of someone close to you. There seems to be a certain amount of repression in your cards -The Page of Cups and the four of pentacles together look as though you have someone near to you who is stopping you from doing things that are close to your heart. Equally, this could represent your own fear of change and new things. The fours talk to us about security and routine and normality -I feel that this card often comes up with people who are in some way confined to the house for some reason; through illness or fear or lack of opportunity. Its message if that you will never experience life if you don't let go. Wonderfully, future cards show you on a journey towards the life you have always meant to be living. The King of wands is here also, beckoning you on -he is a reminder that we are all masters of our own destiny.

There seem to have been a lot of mental worries recently -The Moon and the Nine of swords together can represent everything from physical headaches, hormonal fluctuations right through to severe mental health problems. Combined here with The Tower it looks as though someone has been very up and down recently and causing you undue stress and worry. If this is to do with a physical problem, the Chariot alongside looks as though it is being brought under control either through mindfulness, or physical intervention through drugs/medicine/therapy. Future cards show the nine of wands and the four of swords. Physically, they show you are still standing after the battles you're currently enduring -you have had to draw on all your energy and reserves of self belief, but you have come through the other side. You will need to rest to regain your energy and have a period of total recuperation before you/they are well again.

It looks as though there has been a certain amount of self imposed change for you recently -as though you have looked inside yourself and decided to change the way you think about, and do things. This could have had a spiritual or religious quality, you may have joined a church or a coven, or just taken more interest in Nature and the way we are all interconnected -there is a lot here relating to your inner Goddess. The Queen of Swords next to Judgement looks like you have cut yourself free from the old way of doing things and you are currently on a path of self discovery. Judgement reminds us to not be influenced too much by other people but to listen to, and follow our own music.
The Hanged Man and the six of wands are together at the end of your reading -I think this might indicate a self imposed pause while you gather your thoughts, perhaps you might want to learn more about your new interests. The six is about being able to give to others wholeheartedly; together I would take that as a possibility to think about retraining in a field that allows you to give back what you have learned -so counselling or therapy -or even Tarot reading (!)-anything that allows you to help others with your generous heart.

The cards I have here showing you having had to work hard at a relationship recently. It's worth working on, as when it works it's great. But the foundations were crumbling -perhaps you were growing apart. It looks as though through cooperation and open communication you have found a way back. However, The Queen of Cups alongside the seven of swords in the centre of your reading warns to not let that person take advantage of your compassion and good nature. Their intention is to deceive you in some way -they are opposite cards in that one represents taking and one giving. So the warning is to be aware that this person could push and push you for more and more until you are emotionally spent. It can also just mean outright lying, although I am trying to look for nuance here. Your future cards show that however much you give, the situation remains unchanged and will result in your feelings being hurt, if not outright heartache. Your final card is the three of swords, which is a very sad card that usually indicates endings and separations, although not always permanent ones.
