I discovered this phonomenon by accident a while ago. I love Liverpool generally and I am fascinated by this. Has anyone got any theories or had any experiences? I like the idea of time looping back on itself and different times existing at the same time <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.co.uk/url?q=www.reddit.com/r/Glitch_in_the_Matrix/comments/6408e7/bold_street_liverpool_uk_time_slip_central_caused/&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwid6rL-9pLVAhUlD8AKHfXnAgAQFggbMAU&usg=AFQjCNGwAY6EoMs2QgFnOYkDvqzsYTJOYw" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">Liverpool Time Slips

My Nan worked in Thingwall Hall in Liverpool for 10 years and has always said it was the strangest place on earth very weird unexplainable things happened all the time.
Being from Liverpool I've heard of timeslips never experienced anything myself but I've heard stories of timeslips in older parts of the city centre.

Thanks to everyone for bumping and contributing. I wonder why so many of the Liverpool timeslips seem to be in the 1960s

Wow. I want to go to Liverpool. I'm quite tuned in to these things, although the time I go I wouldn't experience anything! It's truly fascinating!

Grin When I read your first sentence Mrs, I thought it would be something completely different Wink I was getting ready to say 'That's his story anyway' Grin . Maybe he managed to pass two City bankers? In our town, there are two seemingly identical men, twins?, but they each wear the same (different) outfits every day. I still don't know if they rush home and change before going out againGrin

I 'lost' a few minutes before. My sister and her partner were driving me home and I was gazing out the window. Got to a certain part in the journey where I suppose you would be thinking ok halfway there now. The next second I blink and my sister is turning to go down another street which means we're closer to home than I thought so I said oh are we at this street already. My sister's partner was like yea. My sister who was driving then said how? A second ago we were further back along the road.
If it was just me I would have thought I was day dreaming and didn't realise how fast we were going but the fact that the driver thought we should have been further back is odd.

That's interesting that it was both of you. And yet the partner was oblivious. Maybe it is in the genes. Do you have DC? Grin

Weird goings on here this morning.

Just leaving for the school run, getting shoes on at the front door and clear as day heard a baby crying, it was coming from the kitchen at the back of the house.

My daughter looked at me, and asked if I could hear it, I nodded and walked down the hall towards the kitchen, as I got there I could still hear the crying. Obviously no baby, big gardens and no neighbours with children and it was coming from the kitchen not from outside.. it was all around but not coming from any specific part of the kitchen iyswim and then just stopped. Almost like an audible time slip.

Is that the first time you've heard it?

We’ve heard other voices in different rooms but not for ages.

When putting my DD to bed one night we both clearly heard a mans very deep voice say ‘Noooo’ when I was alone in the house with my DD outing her to bed. She asked me if I heard it and I denied it so as not to alarm her but I heard it as clear as day.

Neither time has been scary at all, just strange.

We’re detached so not coming through the walls.

Could audible time slips happen without the visual do you think?

Report

I certainly don’t think my house is haunted Lovemy
I’m pretty tuned in to atmospheres and the one in the house is serene and welcoming to the point that visitors comment on how nice the atmosphere is, it’s almost like the house gives you a hug.

It is almost like an audible snapshot of time being replayed and the times that it’s happened I’ve been so glad that it’s been heard by others or I would begin to doubt my sanity.

My DH has been reading loads of articles recently about how time isn't linear, and how it is possible to go backwards and forwards in time and ' view' bit bit change. (These are proper scientific articles rather than woo ones). That would explain time slips, visual and audible ones!

I have to confess before your post 5 in a bed, I hadn't thought of time slips being audible only, I suppose I had thought they would be both, as I had only found stories of visual/audible together.
Now however, I have seen the error of my ways Grin this looks like an interesting book.

I have often heard DH come in before he has actually arrived, and then heard him again.
And one night I'd gone to bed before DS2 came home and was dozing with a book when DH came in to tell me that he'd phoned and was coming home later with his friend X. I said OK....
Then a while later, he came in and said it all again.
But it was the first time he'd told me.
He, on the other hand, hears me calling him a lot, when I haven't.

I had a strange timeslip like experience last summer. It was the end of June, and we were at a large holiday park in Devon (we live in Scotland so schools had broken up for the summer hols). Obviously the park wasn't super busy as English schools still in at this point.

Anyway, we were staying in our touring caravan in the fully serviced section of the park. This consisted of large, hard standing pitches separated by low hedges, for caravans, camper vans, motorhomes and large tents. So, just setting the scene.

On the day we arrived, we could see across from our living area window, a pitch on which there was a large, 6-8 man blue tent with a light grey transit type van parked next to it.

The following morning, I had risen late. I was still recovering from a neck and shoulder injury, so this holiday was going to be a quiet one for me. It was around 11 am, I'd opened the blinds and was having a cup of tea, looking out of the window, and blue tent with grey van had gone. I thought nothing of it; departure time was 10 am, so I just assumed it was the end of their stay, so they'd left.

I should point out now, that at this time, the entire section of pitches that I could see from this window, was now unoccupied. So it wasn't like there were other blue tents/grey vans still pitched in the section, that I might have mistaken one for another.

I then went to get my shower, in the van. The shower bathroom area is in the middle, with no side windows, just two skylights. I showered and dressed in this area, I took around 15 to 20 minutes.

I went back into the living area, looked out of the window, and the blue tent and grey van were back, in the same place. They actually left for good the next morning. I really don't know what happened; it was very strange.

I’m so unwoo it’s not even funny but I had a really weird timeslip about 10-12 years ago, where I lost about half an hour. I was on a train travelling from London to Newcastle to meet some friends for a hen weekend. I’d booked a seat on the 9.30 out of King’s Cross, due into Newcastle at 12.30 give or take a couple of minutes, and I’d agreed with a couple of friends who were due to arrive on trains from elsewhere between 12-12.15-ish that we’d meet at the station and then go to the hotel together.

All was fine, train was on time. At each station en route I briefly broke off from reading my book to check we were still running to time in case I had to warn my friends I’d be late, but it stayed on schedule. Then somewhere between Darlington and Durham my phone rang and it was one of the friends I was meeting asking why I hadn’t been on the train?? I was all “eh? I am on the train” but she told me the 9.30 from King’s Cross had just arrived at Newcastle and I hadn’t got off! Completely confused, I lifted the phone from my ear and looked at the time and it was 40 minutes later than when I’d last looked at the time…about 10 minutes ago, leaving Darlington. I looked at my (squiggled on by the guard) ticket, which clearly said 9.30 from King’s Cross. And while I have to be honest and say I hadn’t memorised the other passengers in the carriage, not one fellow passenger looked even remotely familiar; normally you might at least register “awkward backpack” or “nice jacket” or “interesting hair colour” or something, but they were all people I’d never seen, or at least noticed before. It wasn’t a particularly busy train and I was alone in an airline seat and I suppose it’s theoretically possible that the couple of people I might have recognised from the journey got off at Darlington, but it was odd.

I arrived in Newcastle a couple of minutes after 1.00pm. The best theory we could come up with was that all the trains had been half an hour late, but I know that I was only on that train for three hours, not three and a half, and at no time did the guard’s announcement apologise for the train running late. And I know it was running to time all through the journey…until it suddenly wasn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️

There is a book, which highlights timeslip cases, called 'Threads of Time' which contains real time travel cases...One young boy in 1967, went past a large house near Rochdale..out of curiosity ventured into the garden, he was startled, when an old woman asked..'can I help you?'...He replied..'this garden is lovely, and wanted to look round'..She wore Victorian clothes...he recalled possibly dating to the 1840s...she showed him round..but dissapared...He remembered the garden being immaculate, with a fountain...in the style of the Roman god..Bachus.. He went back a few days later, peered through the gate, which was now locked...all he saw was a weed strewn landscape..and a pile of rubble, where the fountain was?

I’ve sometimes had these feelings. Not necessarily seeing things but if in an area eg which was old but now rebuilt on I sometimes get the strangest sensations.

There was one time when I was growing up. My friend lived near me on a council estate but in a house. Nearby were old houses mixed in. I used to call for her but go through the estate etc and wander down the roads. Nothing unusual about that but one building on a corner (now a house) we sometimes thought we heard laughter and voices, couldn’t work out how and where and it was olden time songs like Roll Out The Barrel. It was always as we were on our way to the pub about a 10 minute walk away. It was comforting but I never or rarely
came that way home but my friend did.

Didn’t give this a second thought until one day speaking with my stepgrandad as a teenager who knew the area fairly well and could recall certain things happening there - eg sheep driven through the park etc. He asked us which road it was on and we told him. He said “ah yes there used to be a pub there up to eg 1960s when it was knocked down, for the workers in the area”.

To us it seemed very real but not a time slip and that’s probably why I haven’t mentioned it before because it’s not a timeslip as such but it seemed so real.

I should ask my friend if she heard anything on her way home!
