I have just read an article about this...absolutely disgusting, and it really just shows that the police have been too soft on these yobs, masquerading as animal rights activists for too long........

As much as I HATE and DESPISE those who go hunting. These activists have really shot themselves in the foot.

Hunting is briliant in Jersey

There are no foxes. So its ALWAYS been a drag hunt.

LaLaLaaaa · 12/02/2015 07:54

I fucking hate people who hunt foxes and try to pass it off as 'sport' or 'population control'. But I do not think it's ok to be violent towards people or put horses and riders at risk through your actions.

Fox hunting is so inherently cruel. I'm a wildlife biologist and have read the evidence of the stress suffered by the fox being chased down by a pack of baying humans hounds. Plus the nasty death being ripped apart. I happily campaign against it and will support the hunting ban with every breath in my body. The population control argument is a complete red herring as fox biology means foxes will just move into vacant territories.

Got no issue with drag hunting though, it looks like fun.

The point of my post by the way (got a bit lost there, sorry!) is that yes, it's not ok for either side to be violent or put horses/people/dogs at risk through their actions.

The saddest thing about this is that when a red coat is injured, it makes the press. When a sab is injured, it rarely does.

Maybe thats because its the sabs who are stalking people and coming at them in balaclavas. Sorry, i dont hunt, but if someone comes at me in a balaclava in an intimidating way and ive got a whip in my hand, too right i'd use it. It's called self defence.

Sabs have no business even being close enough to get hit by a whip, what are they doing within feet of the horse and rider in the first place?

Dizzbomb · 16/02/2015 20:10

They do indeed, which is why every hunt should be monitored by sabs

Err sorry, you're basically saying random members of the public should be allowed to stalk, harass and attack 'monitor' other people 'incase' they're not abiding by the law.

So by your thinking i should be perfectly entitled to follow and shout at randoms in shops 'in case' they're about to steal something, i mean, they could do you know.

And i'll just be nipping next door to barge in and demand to go through my neighbours hard drive 'in case' they're downloading anything illegal or comitting any other crime with their PC. Because they could be.

In NO other area is it acceptable to dress up in balaclavas and follow people around, what makes the sabs so special?
