We only have my DS pony left and she is 21 , she retired at 8 when DS gave up riding and has just been an expensive pet since , I was mightily relieved when my DC gave up riding otherwise I would have a herd ! Take care of yourself x

You so didn't make the wrong call Exit. After my experience I would always go with the injection administered by a kindly vet. A bullet from a gruff knackerman who couldn't care less about your beloved friend is not the best option, however quick it is :-( You absolutely did the best for her until the end, and for that you are amazing.

We've found a new companion who should be coming next week, which I'm excited and pleased about, but it also brings closer the reality of what has to happen to dpony - nightmare. He's skipping about like a young thing, stuffing his face and happy as larry and on the surface it feels so wrong to be contemplating PTS. I keep having to tell myself that something is wrong inside, and it's a time bomb waiting to go off, but it's hard, really hard.
