I am Xmas Grin

10 days to work (9 and half really as finish at 12 on the last day!).

I'm so looking forward to Christmas and being able to relax a bit and catch up with family and friends.

The next two weeks will hopefully go quickly as I have a million things to do and being secondary need to keep the students focussed on learning until the last day so that might be a challenge but there we go.

I really can't wait for Christmas though! Xmas Grin

Normal timetable until the last day and lesson obs this week

Fun fun fun!

PumpkinPie2016 · 10/12/2017 08:59

Yep - 10 days! Finish on 22nd Xmas Sad having said that, I don't go back until the 8th do will have some good quality time with DH and DS after the madness of Christmas.

We also have to keep to normal lessons up to the last Friday but hopefully it will help to keep the kids calm (a bit!).

5 more days for me! Xmas Grin

We have to do normal lessons right to the end, although the kids have already started pestering for "fun" lessons so I think some departments have already started watching DVDs (even though we've been told not to). Mine will get some Christmas themes to the maths, but the maths will still be challenging.

10 days for us too and definitely on the countdown here in Scotland- midterm was October which makes this a 9 week term.

We've survived the pantomime and have the Nativity play this week... the end is nigh!

874a · 10/12/2017 13:14

Nest week is all Christmas rhearsal Christmas play for me!

rainsbows · 10/12/2017 19:14

MrsHandles · 10/12/2017 20:14

9 working days including an inset then I’ll not be back until the last three days of summer as I’m going on maternity leave from 8th January. Can. Not. Wait!

Jeffers3 · 10/12/2017 20:21

8 days here, can't wait!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/12/2017 20:30

10 days here and have been on countdown for at least a fortnight. It's been the longest term ever.

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 10/12/2017 20:39

2 and a half here. Not sure that we’ll make it in tomorrow because of the weather and then the rest of term is a fun trip and then a church service.

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 10/12/2017 20:44

4 days. I am so tired but will just about cling on

MsAwesomeDragon · 11/12/2017 18:01

4 more days!Xmas Grin and we will be having a carol service one afternoon then "form time fun" on Friday afternoon where I will finally be allowed to put a film on and they can eat popcorn and sweets, so those don't really count.

clary · 11/12/2017 18:57

So so much. We break up on 19th, three days before my own Dec (evil cackle) plus I am leaving teaching so it's even better, no planning or marking to do this hol 😄😄.

clary · 11/12/2017 18:58

Gah! Three days before my own dc!!

leccybill · 11/12/2017 21:28

8 more days Sad
Just had a Parents Evening, got Twilight this week and we're in until the bitter end on the 21st.
I am like the walking dead.

PumpkinPie2016 · 12/12/2017 17:57

How are we all doing? I am utterly exhausted - massive data analysis still to be done and the christmas homework/revision for a big test in Jan.

Plus of course my own lessons/marking.

Kids are getting fratchy and my patience is wearing very thin!

7.5 days to go and it feels like ages away!

we were so close to a snow day on Monday and when it didn't happen the atmosphere was so apathetic, kids and staff! We finish on Tuesdy 19th and go back on Jan 3rd! No fun stuff until the Monday but there's lots of end of topic activities going on (no marking type stuff) and lots of kids and staff going down with lurgies. Hoping Xmas spirit arrives soon! Really looking forward to a relaxing time tbh (fingers crossed) Xmas Shock

elephantoverthehill · 12/12/2017 22:48

What's that Christmas coming? Sorry I'm a bit hard of hearing. I should have used my ear defenders. No, it's no good the technician has got the laser cutter going.

Wait4nothing · 14/12/2017 17:42

Last day for me tomorrow! Toy, Christmas jumper and panto day. I’ve prepped the painkillers!

un1c0rn · 14/12/2017 18:34
