Shit day work stories

I have had a really shit day at work. Spilled coffee on my lap and burned myself, my y11 behaved like idiots (which actually made me think - what's the point of all this? They don't want to learn!) and I had a really unpleasant conversation with a parent.
Misery likes company so...tell me about your shit day!

Ah Beau what happened?

I’ve had a rough old week dealing with behaviour. Been called multiple unpleasant things and been told to fuck off/piss off etc etc (thankfully by kids not parents!).
Desperately trying to do the right thing by some really vulnerable kids but it’s so hard. Feel quite stressed by it all.
Drank much wine last night! Find reading the mass teacher bashing posts on here at the moment quite depressing - feel like you’re fighting a losing battle sometimes.

@OneOfTheGrundys full day and ALL, absolutely all of my classes behaved like little shits! Y10 thought my lesson was social hour even my beautiful y7 pissed me right off

Two boys arguing, one calls the other a terrible name. Break them up, calm it down, issue potty-mouth a detention.

Boy 1 (victim) : he didn't say that.
Me: very noble of you to defend your friend, but I heard him with my own ears.
Boy 2: I never said it.
Me: not arguing boys, detention stands.
Boy 1: but he NEVER said it! You can't give him a detention, he's done nothing wrong!
Me: then why are you crying?
Boy 2: because I punched him in his f'ing big mouth miss. But I didn't call him a name.

Anyone else spending their half term catching up on work? I'm sooo tired!!!

Today I cried in my classroom after school. It's been a long half term and everything has just got on top of me - of course the children on after school clubs saw my breakdown... they did all come and check I was okay which was lovely but I wish they hadn't seen it!
