I haven't and it's starting to piss me off. Last year we didn't get it til the last day of the summer term. Totally new SLT this year - kind of hoped that might make a difference. Angry

I teach overseas. We got a timetable before we finished. Then it changed.

We started back on Monday, with no students, got the latest version on Thursday. Some updates Friday and then mine changed again slightly.

We don't have fixed resignation dates which complicates matters.

Students start Monday, hopefully it is fixed.

ooh, I feel you Marco. We start back in a week or so and that's blatantly going to happen to us too because they messed up the p/t timetables.

LockedOutOfMN · 23/07/2016 15:58

Good luck, Marco and skate. We don't start lessons until 30th August but I'm already feeling nervous that I don't have my timetable or know all of the year groups I'm going to be teaching; I really like to be planned in advance as it lets me feel more settled over the summer. At the moment, I feel like I have to plan for every eventuality and am probably creating a lot of unnecessary work, and worry, for myself.

Hope your timetables are sorted out ASAP!

I've been in hospital and signed off this last half term and asked for my timetable, to be told it wasn't done yet...now school has broken up with no sign of it, I'm going to go in and check sims once I'm up and out of bed again. I imagine that will be about August! Useful!

LockedOutOfMN · 23/07/2016 16:47

Scarydinosaurs Hope you're feeling better. So sorry to hear you've been unwell (and about the timetable delay). Flowers

Scarydinosaurs · 23/07/2016 18:41

locked thanks! I'm getting there...my brain still feels like mashed potato, but slowly getting excited about planning and teaching again after being far too ill to even put a sentence together.

I have been given a heads up that as I was absent I have been given an 'interesting' timetable Hmm but we'll see. I doubt I will be getting my lovely yr 12 Lit AS class, but as I will (hopefully, if my scan goes well next week) be announcing my pregnancy in September I can't be too cross. Better to have non-exam classes and minimum disruption when I leave!

However- your situation sounds crazy!! How can you be teaching on the 30th and NOT KNOW what you're teaching?? We didn't get class lists one year until the September and I thought that was bad as I couldn't pre plan my differentiation. Not knowing what units/years you'll be teaching is awful.

DreamingofBrie · 08/08/2016 23:38

I start in a new school in September. I know my yeargroups and timetable, but no scheme of work (or contract yet!). Starting to panic as I feel I should be planning now but don't know where to start.

elephantoverthehill · 07/09/2016 23:07

Just to make you all chuckle/ feel smug, two days in and I still don't have my 'real time table' for this year. That would be me and lots of other teachers where I work.

Rosieposy4 · 07/09/2016 23:47

Omg elephant, what a nightmare. Crap for continuity for the kids too.

EvilTwins · 09/09/2016 17:47

We may have timetables but they are wrong and have changed every day this week. I have 4 of the 5 yr 9 groups - supposedly once per week each. This week I have seen some children twice and others not at all. Some yr 9s have had music three times this week and some yr 8s had DT three times in one day. Each time the I have been given a new timetable. They have coped very well, but it's loopy. One of my yr 9 classes had 36 kids in. Another had 11

Don't tell anyone, but I still don't have my correct timetable but that led me to having 3 free lessons on Thursday. I know I will get dumped on but for the moment I am enjoying being on top of my work with all the extra 'frees' but if any of you say anything.................... Evil those poor Music and DT teachers, how will they ever put all the groups back into sync?
