Part time and teacher training days

I'm going part time after maternity leave. I haven't received my contract yet but am wondering how many teacher training days I HAVE to do for a three day week.
My days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday so stupidly I have to go in on my days off which means over a year, I'll work more days than my partner teacher who works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Can anyone enlighten me as to how this all works????

I do the same days as you, OP, and have to do 0.6 of inset days. I get to pick which 3 of the 5 I do. If they fall on Mondays or Tuesdays I'll make it clear they are not my days and my HT understands that. I have been paid supply cover in the past if I do an extra inset as like others, I have childcare to pay for.
Having said that, we've one coming up soon on a Monday and I've said I will go but only after I've taken children to school and will leave in plenty of time too pick them up. I think it's in my interest to keep on the right side of SMT and they appreciate that I'll go out of my way if needed and that's reciprocated by them.

Clam I think Rain must be talking about different T&Cs - Scotland and England don't have the same T&C for teachers.
I've worked PT, in 3 schools, under a total of 5 different HTs and it has always been that if your working day is a BH, then you 'gain' and if it's not a working day for you then don't, but it doesn't really come up much in England, as there's only the BH at the beginning of May that isn't in the school holidays.
Same with training days - if it's a working day you work, if it's not a working day for you then you don't have to. (Obviously sometimes staff choose to, if it's something they need to know about, and some HTs will pay you or let you swap a day but that's all concessionary).

My OH is on 0.6 teaching contract. He does 0.6 inset days too, and 0.6 holiday days. He does the inset days whether they are on his working days or not, so long as he does 0.6 of them,

Actually, there is a colleague who does 0.2. She wasn't there on the inset day last week because (I am assuming) it was not her day of work. I will enquire when I go for a visit next week.
